I had a good experience especially with my doctor dr.somerto she is very well educated on epilepsy and how to best help her patients and the first visit she referred me to neurosurgery and within 2 months I had a life saving surgery and I’m doing amazing I couldn’t thank her enough for helping me . I have been to several neurologist and she is the best I’ve ever had . She is very good a reading your history before she meets with you .

Absolutely absurd that I have to see a South Coast primary care doctor to get a referral to see a neurologist. My insurances plan does not require referrals. Way to rob copays and initial visit payments from insurance companies. That should be fraud. I will not change my primary care doctor to see a particular specialist.

I have gone to south coast neurology for years for treatment of fibromyalgia and never had an issue. My old neurologist left and I was set up to see the new doctor there John Stamoulis. I paid a $40 co-pay for him to insult me and say " I don't treat fibromyalgia and quite frankly I don't see why you are here when there are patients with more important issues that could have this slot. You could continue coming here if you want, but I don't see any reason for you to be here for a social hour." Needless to say I am searching for a new neurologist.
