Torn between a 3 star and the 4... so, 3.5 stars Many excellent camp sites if you like nice views of trees, ferns, mosses and other camp sites. Not all the sites have parking in the rented site, but if not, they do have it near by. The way in is on a 1 way road that loops to the right from entrance then goes downhill to the left where at the bottom, (the halfway point in the loop) is the primary bathroom area and the pay station (currently its $25 a night plus $5 extra vehicle). A bit high considering they aren't stocked with firewood and once you fund a spot not already occupied or Reserved, you have to walk back to pay station (down hill from camp site 4 and back up the steep hill to return to site) and the bathrooms because when there's only 1 found to be able to choose from, you don't take chances on driving to pay station or you could loose the last site available. There is another outhouse style bathroom on the exiting end of the 1 way road that we didn't notice in the dark when we arrived. Speed limit is 5 mph as there is plenty of hiking available and pedestrians could be crossing anywhere not to mention, wildlife too. They do have a day use area at that halfway point but a few feet out of the way and next to the water, but it's nothing fancy. The camp sites are better all around.

One of the best campgrounds I have camped in. Place is clean and unique the way campsites are organized. Some off the campsites have best view, sad we couldn't get desirable campsite. Limited campsites, so you know why it fills so fast! Washrooms are clean. Nearby there are good options for food and Merriman Falls was best place to visit. Lot of trails, but we didn't do any this time, because we didn't enough time to admire the place where we camped!

Campground is fine, bathrooms could be cleaner. Plenty to do around and beautiful surroundings! π

My husband I just got back from our trip to Willaby Campground. We stayed in Site 1 just at the entrance of the campground. There is some traffic noise but it tapers off as the day goes on. Site 1 is across from the single stall bathrooms β¦

There are showers available at the lodge about half a mile down the road. That's also where you register for the campground. I believe it's about $3 per person and you have access to the wi-fi as well.
I think 20 foot is the limit and only certain sites. It isa small campground.
Bears at Willaby are not very common, and if they do show up near the lake its usually on the North side or closer to Colonel Bob. In general, keep any food you have in a locked cooler or in a vehicle. Don't throw food scraps in the fire; there are tons of secured garbage cans by the bathrooms and dumpsters near the beach. Wipe down you picnic table after every meal. DO NOT EVER EAT IN A TENT.
No hookups at the camp sites. There is a spout just near the bathrooms. By campsite 14
