I love the edgy, modern and minimalist style. The cabins itself are perfect in terms of space, you have everything you would need during your stay. Very cozy. (Appreciate the speaker) There's a but. I think the "SPA", which is really just 2 very very little pools should say Adults only. If you have a kid, it's a given that they would want to jump into the pool and play around. For a kid, it's really boring and the only thing they want to do they can't do. Also if you look at the pictures, the pool seems a lot bigger. So the pool is really for just sitting there, not swimming and there's no width and space.

My partner and I have come to Society every 1-2 months for the past year or so. It used to be a wonderful, quiet retreat from the city. The views are beautiful, and there really aren't many spa retreats like this. Unfortunately, the past 4 times we've stayed, it's everything but relaxing. The spa has turned into a water park with kid pool toys, splashing and yelling. You can't even escape it in the sauna, which seems to echo louder. My partner has kids, and the last thing we'd do is bring them to impact others trying to relax and recoup. It's really unfortunate that policy of a serene experience isn't fostered and this is allowed. We probably won't be returning unless this gets better.

This hotel was phenomenal. If you like unique hotels with historic charm then I would highly recommend. We didn’t even stay in the schoolhouse, we stayed in the cabins but we’re still able to get our fill of it. They offer great spaces that are well diverse and perfect for all ages. We travel with two young children (3, <1) and it is so hard to be able to enjoy ourselves without being able to set out baby down or feeling like we need to coral our children. They have a great gym with lots of room to play around, games, etc. but our favorite place was the Sanctuary. Beautiful, private, yoga room. There was nothing our baby could get hurt on and he was able to freely crawl around and enjoy himself. Their spa is also great, perfect size with more amenities than most. Our cabin was cute and the floor plan was well designed. Two separate bedrooms with a living space, FULL Kitchenette (mini fridge, hot plate, convection oven, cooking utensils, etc) so you don’t need to feel like your only option is eating out, and a good bathroom. We loved having a picnic table and hammock on our porch also, Felt like a very private space our family could enjoy. We will definitely be coming back as this hotel has instantly grown to be our favorite place we have visited. To make this hotel even more perfect I wish I could pick it up as-is and drop it in central Oregon.

I had a great time at the society hotel! The room was cozy and clean. We stayed in the schoolhouse and it had shared bathrooms. They were kept nice and clean and always available. The bar/restaurant was extremely convenient. Bingen is not a very active city so it was nice to be able to grab a drink or coffee or sandwich whenever I needed it. The spa was wonderful. They have an amazing outdoor hot tub which seemed very Covid friendly. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I am definitely going back.
