Nice relaxing park with a great view. Went back to visit a beach I had been at 50 years ago. Very well kept state park. Enough ranger presence to keep everything orderly without being obnoxious. Handicapped friendly.

Absolutely beautiful location! There are so many great spots. Hiking, miles of beach, and a marsh with a walkway through it. The sunsets are beautiful and itβs a very peaceful location. Clean and well kept.

This is an absolutely gorgeous State Park. It is very conveniently located right off the freeway 43. It is also not too far from Milwaukee metro area. It is by far one of my most favorite parks in Wisconsin! I wish it was larger, so I could β¦

Yes and it's a very nice area from the nature center to the north beach. Should know there's a lot of people who obviously think the whole park is a off leash dog park - very frustrating. I take my dogs there several times a week and there's always someone with their dog off leash throughout the park. Really wish people would stop it cause the day might come that dogs are not allowed cause of people!

I'm not sure what you mean by rustic but they have tent camping sites. It's am amazing park! The walk along the beach is outstanding and so is the boardwalk path. You won't be disappointed!
I was there yesterday. I walked the North Beach. There was no ice or snow.
If they are closed , the forms are located on the side of the building. Find an open site (for winter camping only electrical sites are open) then go back and fill out form and purchase the site then put in the box provided. Only cash or checks taken.

Bright and sunny. Around 40 degrees out. Great for a brisk stroll on the boardwalks :)
On the Wisconsin state parks website.
According to the DNR, generator use is typically not allowed at State Parks.
I've been told Lake Michigan water level has been up β quite a bit. 7 inches is what I've been hearing.
Yearly State sticker or daily entrance fees apply in any state park camping or day trip
No. I've paid $20. Drive up to a site pitch a tent start a nice pit fire. Listen to the waves crashing as nature sounds out from all around.
