Beware of this place. If you move in TAKE ALOT OF PICTURES, before move in and when you move out. If you like giving away your money, this will be a great place. There is alot of unethical management practices. Was shown a unit later to find out that it had noisy family and screaming infant to the side of the bedroom. Later had loud college students above. Walls are paper thin and the interiors must have been built by Ikea. Very difficult to reach Management via email. Management/Hignell will try to grab more than half of your deposit when you leave via cleaning deductions; Does not matter how clean the unit is. You will waste time cleaning or waste money hiring someone to clean the unit. Management will charge based off of items/ rooms instead of charging the amount of time it takes to clean the apartment. They attempt to categorize light, medium and deep cleaning. As management stated, most to all apartments "require" deep cleanings. This "requires" climbing up and cleaning light fixtures, fan ventilations, moving fridge, and moving stoves, making sure the outside patio and outside door and lights are perfectly spotless on the day of move out. Even then, you will still be charged a deep cleaning, A small speck of dust or a small defect on the ikea like wood cabinet will be counted against you. Management doesn't even take the time to compare their own before move in pics vs their move out pics. You will most likely have to take them to small claims court to get your money back. Hignell and its management deserve to be taken and exposed at court. WWJD? Ironically they inject Christian religion at this aprt site, may or may not be a plus for you.

I have lived at Sterling Oaks for 2 years and LOVE it here! I don't understand the negative reviews. The management has been awesome from before move in to present. The few maintenance requests I have had were addressed promptly. The grounds are kept looking great year round. Yes there are rules which are made clear in the lease, I appreciate these rules which are intended to make Sterling Oaks pleasant for all who live here. Very clean, great neighbors, quiet, well lit at night :) I would highly recommend Sterling Oaks!

I normally don't write reviews until I'm done living at my apartment complex, but I am just this once because of the awesome experience. Ive been living here 2 1/2 years, and management is beyond awesome. They are nice and friendly and always listen to my problems and helped find solutions. Matinance is also beyond steller because they are prompt and easy to work with. The reason I'm writing this review is this: I came home one August afternoon from work and the apartment, on the 3rd floor, was really warm. After figuring out that it was the ac blowing warm air, I put in a ticket for matinance. Promptly the next day, because the ticket was filed after hours, I was contacted by management that experts in your home was contacted and would I like a portable ac? I said yes because I have small animals and it was already 80° at 9am outside. So I gave my pets the ac unit and it took the edge off the heat in the apartment till EIYH came the next day. Staff saved me time and money with their courteous offer of a portable ac for my pets, and let me be worry free while I waited for the repairan.

Questionable and shady business practices with sketchy charges and billing assessments. No response when asked them to clarify charges multiple times. Overall very unprofessional.
