Small campground with very private sites. Best suited for tent camping. Clean pit toilets, helpful camp host.

The campground is an old CCCC one with many of the sites more of a walk-in than usual car-camping. The fs.usda.gov website says “piped water” but when we checked in July 2020 there was NO drinking water (you’d need to treat the lake water). We had no yellow jackets problems when we stayed the second week in July 2018, but the mosquitoes were thick and aggressive at dawn and dusk. We were glad we had our Tail Veil. The wildflowers on the hike to Winnemucca Lake were FABULOUS. If you are up for dry camping, check out the sites at Martin Meadows off Hwy 88 at 38°41'46.4"N 120°07'16.8"W (38.696233, -120.121340).

It was just opened for first come first serve camping on the 25th. It is 25$ a night you pay cash at the camp grounds drop box or to the grounds keeper(really great guy btw). They are in the process of cutting some "danger" trees down so not all camp sites are open but there is at least 15 sites open if they haven't been taken already. Bathrooms are open and clean.
They are provided by the campground at each site and yes you need to use them.

No but get by 10 11 am. Weekend good luck
Yes. They opened up last weekend. Bring mosquito repellents and long sleeves for the mornings and evenings. Brutal right now. Water was not working last weekend. The camp hosts are awesome and have water for campers.
