This is a small site, but pretty cool! You can imagine how the natives lived and used the land. $8 parking. You can picnic and camp here too. It’s on the way to Black Chasm cavern.

Beautiful place.! Great customer service. The ranger is super friendly. Cleanest bathroom of any of the state parks we've been to. Great place for a little educational walk with the kids. A little Indian villages they can explore. Would recommend.

What a beautiful park. We visited on a Saturday morning. There were only a few other families so there was lots of room to roam. We did the shorter loop trail with my in-laws and our almost 2 year old. At the end we brought out our picnic …That sounds like a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing, Alana! We hope you visit again soon!

First visit to this park. Spent the morning walking on one of the trails and a light lunch in their picnic area. It was a very relaxing educational family time. I was surprised how well clean the restrooms and pinic area were. The …Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you in the park again soon!

I would contact the National parks dept. Also the Tribe associated to the area. And maybe the dept of State Travel, lastely.
No pets in the actual grounds area, but there is a day use section and a minimal hook up rv park immediately adjacent to the grounds that do.
Hi Tim, I just camped there Friday and Saturday nights. The campground was really quiet. The sites are kinda small and close to your neighbors but it wasn't busy so our neighbors felt far away. They have very clean flush toilets and coin showers. Despite what the website says fires and charcoal grills are not permitted-only gas grills. That said, maybe this is why it was so quiet and not very busy. It did get busier on Saturday afternoon though. Hope this helps.
Yes, dogs are allowed in the campground. Dogs are not allowed on any of the trails.
No water for swimming in the area. It was just about an hour from Sacramento.
As far as I know off the top of my head it was Miwok and Chawsee territory. There may be more obviously you'd have to research that.
There is tent camping but if you want you can sleep in your van parked at a campsite, which is $30 a night but is there is someone 62 years or older it's $28 a night.
No but there is an honor system park entrance fee
Indian Grinding Rock is well marked, easily found. There is a visitors center/museum on site and picnic area, rv camping park. Nothing hidden about it.
No camping overnight in wooden teepees! It's a recreated Mewuk indian village! However, the land is sacred and is to be respected as such!
Not really hot ....lots of shady trees. There is A.C. in the park building
