Unfortunately this will be the last time I go to Jerry’s. A combination of the wrong day for me, non-customer focused staff, and prices I can do better at elsewhere (maybe or maybe not, but at least spending it with a business that provides butter customer service). I needed a piece of mat board cut to be able to fit it in my car, they wanted to charge me $1 per cut, simply so I could take it home….it wasn’t the dollar, it was the principal that I would have to pay money for a service to allow me to put it in my car (I figured any customer-focused established would do this for a customer to take it home, like Lowes cutting wood or glass or cord to tie something to your car at no charge…guess I should have brought the SUV). I have been needing to find an alternate supplier and this was just a catalyst for me to do so and now it will be delivered to my front door for me.

Poor training of employees and bad customer service. Very unfortunate experience as I would have loved to have shopped from a local business. I have worked 15+ years in customer service and what should have been a simple and easy interaction came to a sour first time visiting this store. I really don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews and may give the store a second chance at a later date but right now this is my opinion based off my experience.

They have great selection, everything I could want times 2. However, they do a pretty bad job at labeling prices. If you're lucky, there's a sticker where a sticker should be. If not, there will be a sign somewhere with general prices and *no* indication when there's an exception. Makes it very difficult for someone on a budget to shop there! i thought i had an idea of what my basket of things would cost and was DOUBLE underestimating!! For example, no stickers for each paint in an area but a sign saying they're a little under 7$ each. Get to the check out to find one of mine is 20 + and the others were 9???? (Of course the prices are not cheap-cheap either, but that's alright if you care about supporting brick and mortar art stores.)

We ask that all customers wear a mask when visit and our staff practices social distancing the very best we can. Our register and frameshop counter has plexiglass shields around them for extra safety. We sanitize all baskets and shopping carts after each use. Nancy, if you are ordering through the store at https://shop.raleigh-jerrys.com orders are normally ready for in-store, curbside pickup or courier service/delivery within 24 hours (but very often MUCH sooner).
Avery, right now we don't have a community board as we didn't have a way to post things and keep our space accessible, and socially distanced, during Covid-19. Jane, in the past we have offered art classes. This year, we made the difficult decision to suspend all classes. The safety of our customers is, and always has been, our number one priority, this year more than ever.
