This is our first time in a long time visiting this park. It is a great mix of kid friendly playgrounds and exercise equipment for the adults. Plus there is a splash pad which is a great touch

Love this park. Has 2 playground for different age group, swings, walking trail, workout area, pickle ball court (if that's what it's called), splash pad, and bathroom.

This is a very nice park to go to on a nice pretty day. They have a little bit of everything for kids and adults to enjoy. They have several nice little trails to walk and enjoy a little of nature. They have plenty for kids to keep themselves busy. This is a really nice place for a family outing. We enjoying going here and during the summer they have been known to hold little events and sometimes you might catch some live music. Highly recommend 👍

The dirt is from the construction at Conover Station and will be reused. For more information please contact Public Works at 828-464-4808.
I'm not exactly sure what 'water' you are referring to. If you mean the Engineered Wetlands inside the walking trail and near the dock, then no, humans and pets are not allowed in those sensitive areas. They ponds were specially designed to treat stormwater run-off for the site and encourage the growth of grasses and other helpful vegitation in the ponds. When humans or pets enter these areas, they damage the vegetation and the engineered banks of the pond banks. There should be signs posted around the area asking folks to "Keep Out!".

I heard a pickup truck drove thru the shelter, across the splash pad and almost ended up in the pond. I hope everyone was ok!
Yes, there are outlets located on the columns of the picnic shelter next to the splash pad.
There is a fee to rent the picnic shelters. Please contact Conover City Hall at 828-464-1191 for current pricing.
NO, the park has benches and a cover dome for sitting and relaxing or a short walk around open area. Next street is the Conover Police Dept.On this note I am speaking of the Conover park not the large one on Google map !! ) But " No" basketball racket there either.
Yes, if you want to reserve the shelter. Go to city hall.
