10/10 do not recommend renting anything from the business. If you MUST make a purchase ask for Michael Bukner he’s good to work with. I rented a tow behind plugger for a day. Walked in told them what I wanted to rent. Owner Chuck Hardin checked me out. He said sign here looked at my license and sent me out the door to pick it up. No explanation of the contract, no review of the damage waiver, nothing. Was met at my truck with the equipment and went on about my day. While routinely using the plugger the first issue we found was there was no knob on the crank handle to raise and lower the transport wheels, which means it is a fight to load and unload the unit. Later while plugging a clean open yard I find one of the wheels lying in the grass. After further inspection, we found a crack containing rust along the break. So, there’s clean metal and rusty metal at the point of break, meaning the unit had been compromised long before I ever rented it. Return it the following morning, no one is willing to make a decision on what to do and tell me Owner Chuck will give me a call when he looks at it and they send me on my way. They assured me he would hear my side before making a decision. 24 hrs later, no call from Chuck. After receiving an email stating my rental was overdue I called them. Employee states Chuck said it was broken and they were charging me. I request to speak with Chuck who openly admitted to seeing the rusty crack and still claims it is a “clean break”. After requesting to come speak in person about the matter so I could actually explain my side of the matter like a civilized adult would expect to do, Chuck round about tells me their contract would force me to pay regardless of their lack of proper maintenance and there is nothing I can do. He also said I could have refused the plugger at pick up, but any reasonable person would expect it to come it proper working order. 4 lessons I learned: 1 if they don’t review the contract with you, don’t trust the business. 2. Read the fine print. 3. Bring a magnifying glass to inspect equipment. 4. Don’t do business with Chuck Hardin.

The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the owner really seems like a great guy and the staff are always friendly. However, my husband and I took them our older Stihl HS 74 hedge trimmers in to be fixed because it would start but not run. We paid a $20 up front deposit and left both of our cell numbers so we could be contacted once repaired. Over three weeks later we still hadn’t received a call so I stopped by to see if the repairs were completed. The guy at the counter went in the back and was gone more than 15 minutes. When he came back he stated that the carburetor was bad and unfortunately that particular carburetor had been discontinued. I asked him what we would need to do to fix it and he stated, “You’ll just have to buy a new one.” I asked him how much we owed them and he said the $20 deposit covered the diagnostics. I asked him to get the trimmer for me so I could take it home so he left for the back again. AGAIN, he was gone more than 15 minutes then returned with the trimmer. I looked the trimmer over once I got it home and it was evident that not one screw had been removed to inspect the issue. Additionally, I went online and found the exact carburetor for $16, it was delivered in 2 days, and it took me, a 50 year old female with no small engine repair knowledge whatsoever, a whopping 10 minutes to replace it. It runs great. I believe the trimmer set at Hardins without being touched and they saw an opportunity to make money selling a new trimmer. If it had been through a diagnostic check why didn’t someone call? Was someone there hoping we’d just tell them to keep it for parts so they could fix it and keep it for themselves? It just feels like the typical “oh, it’s a woman. Here’s our chance to make an easy buck”. Unfortunately, they picked the wrong woman.
