Absolutely. Great park. There's a huge field you can picnic in and lots of ball fields. And a river you can kayak on.

There are camp sites with fire rings, you just need to contact the church office to make reservations to camp. It's for tent camping. Our scout troop has camped there and I've seen single families camping. It's nice. Not sure about a cost.

The Catawba River is an excellent float that goes through two delayed harvest stretches. The opportunity to catch a good amount of stocked trout is best from October to the end of May.

They are correct. However, just past Westminster is place where you can rent out cabin, zip line, kayak and tube.

The park is not staffed and I do not see any rules against metal detectors. So yes, you can.
