If I could give it six stars, I would. A superb place to visit if you love art, history, gardening, or nature. Make sure to call ahead and reserve if you want to have lunch, or they might be full.

The exhibits, the gardens, Cafe Flo, all excellent! Never disappoints! Don't miss the Wee Fairy gardens in the fall!

Hi William, our campus includes the historic Florence Griswold House which is partially accessible, when accessed using the ramped entrance. The 2nd floor (gallery space) of the House is not accessible by wheelchair. The Hartman Education Center and Krieble Gallery are fully accessible with specially equipped restrooms. The interior of the historic Chadwick Studio is not accessible by wheelchair at this time. Specially designed pathways make much of the Museum’s 12 acres accessible by wheelchair. I hope this helps and that you enjoy your visit! Tammi

I have been there. It's a nice little place to eat, and you can sit outside.
The Florence Griswold Museum, located in the heart of historic Old Lyme, Connecticut, has been called a “Giverny in Connecticut” by the Wall Street Journal, and a “must-see” by the Boston Globe. In addition to a gallery for changing art exhibitions, the Museum includes, the restored Florence Griswold House, education and landscape centers, a restored artist’s studio, twelve acres along the Lieutenant River, the Robert F. Schumann Artists’ Trail, and extensive gardens.
Hi Judy! During the summer of 2006 the Florence Griswold House reopened after 14 months of restoration.
