Well first off price of merchandise was extremely off key. The second thing was their bag policy was 100% questionable. What I mean is they take bags from white consumers and they tell the consumer that they are only detaining you bag or bags because of potential thefts in the past. I find this completely interesting because I noticed that people of different ethnic groups and backgrounds ( NON - WHITES ) were allowed to maintain the right to carry their possessions on them at all times. WARNING TO THE WHITE COUNSUMER DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WOULD POTENTIALLY RISK YOUR BELONGINGS BEING TOUCHED, STOLEN,BROKEN, OTHERWISE MOVED. Though when I checked my belongings nothing was touched by anyone who worked in this store. I find it ironic how people can give this place five stars I would never set foot inside or even within the premises of this store. I would hardly even consider this place a store this place is a law suit waiting to happen.

Prices have gone through the roof. Asking $20 - 30 for broken electronics is insane. I used to shop there a lot, but lately when I go i end up buying nothing. They actually had a glass screen protector for a phone, the same brand that Dollar Tree sells, in their locked case for like $5.

Island thrift is great, so much popular choices in clothes that are hard to find anywhere else, I shop there moderately, I like going to get lucky and find that rare object, could be any department, I've found some really great buys I give it a 5 for thrift stores

Island Thrift used to be a great place. The pricing was fair reasonable for Thrift Store. Then something happened perhaps greed, who knows. Their prices skyrocketed. Their prices are only reasonable when it's 50% with the color tag. Otherwise it's overpriced by 50%. I used to be able to find Polaroid cameras rotary phones Nintendo NES games. For the most part they pre price that via eBay Etc and that stuff never sees the store anymore. They pretty much suck.

Typically thrift stores don't do holds, especially overnight. If the items are small your best bet may be putting them somewhere they don't belong so others are less likely to be shopping that area for the same goods.
