Got discount as senior five dollars and passenger not senior was more. They charge by individual. Park decent close beach access and restrooms.

We came on a cold, windy day and loved every second of it. Such a great spot for shell collecting and just strolling along. Made our park pass worth the money. Still coming back time and time again. Camping here has become one of my favorite places. It's extremely laid back with nice sites. Great for tent or rv camping. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great place. you won't find a more secluded beach on the East Coast
Laura Smith
My favorite campground and we love it

You could. But the beach is hard by the water and soft away from it. So I wouldn't recommend it myself.
No but yes plenty of parking all along the beach and it's free. Actually the best beach in the area for parking
Yes you can. Not a huge parking lot. But if you get there early you should be able to get in.
This is a Google maps q&a for asking the community questions. I would ask the park directly.
Yes they also have sites for tents if that's what you mean with primitive camping
Not suggested as most sites won't have enough tree cover
Ocello creek and Townsend creek are in the stare park or at different locations? If they are different locations please share address.
No fires are allowed on the beach and no outside wood. The fire rings are great.
Most state parks rent by site, not by number. It usually is only an issue if that many disturb others by noise or get out of hand.
None in the park, or even in the town of Edisto Beach! Laundry is miles inland. Plan ahead accordingly.
They have the beach side of campground open. Also day use of beach is open
Yes there is camping but due to Hurricane Irma some camping grounds are closed until they are fixed up.
No, just closer parking, and you can drive a golf cart on the beach.
These answers are wrong. You can operate a golf cart on the beach if you have a handicap placard.
Unfortunately no they do not. There is one up the road. Maybe half mile or less from campgrounds?
You can't camp on the beach, just in the designated camping areas.
Yes
I believe they are open, their cabins are booked out pretty far in advance though.
2 blocks tops
You would want to call to reserve or go on the state park website. Edisto is a popular state park and they're usually booked up weeks in advance this time of year.
As of now all SC state parks are still open you can follow South Carolina state parks Facebook page
There is a fishing pier about 100 yards outside the park entrance.
Their are electrical and water hook ups at the live oak campground. If you want too change sites, you can after you get there. Get with the park ranger
Contact the Park Ranger they could possibly help
No totally different beaches. Myrtle is family fun (water rides/amusement park, shopping, etc) Edisto is more relaxing (bike rides, golf, beach, fishing, retirees) I dont think u can grill on either. Edisto does have a state park with grills that pretty close to beach
The rates change in different seasons as well as different areas of the park. You would need to call the office or park ranger to find out the rates for the day's you wish to stay.
Not sure about black. Purple means dangerous marine life is in the area. Portuguese man-o-war have recently washed ashore along the SC coast.
Every place is different need to call a real estate office on edisto beach they have that info good luck
I think it's fairly dog friendly, I don't have a dog so I didn't look to see if they had cleanup bags posted. You will want to bring treatment for ticks, though. The bath house is pretty large, cheap toilet paper though. I'd recommend bringing your own wipes.
No you won't be able to park it on the beach, there is an RV park that you will park at. It's not by the beach but close to it, about walking distance.
I think so you have to call them at the park.
Yes they are. You will just have to clean up after them if and when using the bathroom.
Not that I am aware of, you have to be 18 in order to rent a space to camp.
Not bad. I was there for a week, in the water most of the time. One sting. Minor inconvenience.
I dont know I rent a house there for a week every year. Sorry I can't help you. But have fun!!!
Yes, you can either camp in the woods or out near the beach. Primitive camping and RV camping areas are available in both places. Reserve early! Spots get filled up fast.
No. I would definitely say, this beach has no access for wheelchairs. Some of the access ramps are wooden, but the walk from them to the water is still lengthy. Only the fat beach wheelchairs could make it. I do not know of any available. You might try calling the bike rentals on the island. They may possibly have something to rent. My husband is disabled. He cannot walk in this sand. I once heard the fire department had a couple of beach wheelchairs you could check out. But that was a couple of years ago. Not sure you can still do that.
You can but it will have to be raked in the day parking away from you
Call them and see. If you are disabled. Or a senior, the rates are less.
Mam, I do not believe they're there anymore, but not 100% sure
The rates definitely change with the season. Go to the SC state Park web page.
On the beach is 54 per night regardless. The live oak campground on the inland part of EB State Park has tent only sites that could be cheaper
Yes, a few. I imagine they fill up fast. There's 2 parks less than a mile apart. The one on the beach is a RV park. The other has a few cabins and tent sites.
Not sure what you mean by rustic. All beach campsites have water and electric hook-ups. There are some walk-in sites for primitive camping at the Live Oak campground about a half mile from the beach.
The lowest is 28°, the highest is 82°, and the average is 57°
