Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite diners from which to get breakfast (next to IHOP). But Cracker Barrel has the country store at the entrance which you have to walk through to get to the diner area; I love the country store. However, there was an issue with them not serving certain items on the menu until 11:00 am, yet, they serve alcoholic beverages all day long. There was a large party of guests seated at a table next to mine; everyone at that table had beer, and they were all women. Who drinks beer at 10 o'clock in the morning (even if you're on vacation, out on a beach, you don't start drinking that early in the day). Other than that, there was one other issue that I brought to the attention of my waiter: I ordered a hot chocolate with my meal. The chocolate comes with a whipped cream topping. Once I consumed the whipped cream, I was left with a quarter cup of hot chocolate. I would've been better off not getting the whipped cream had I known that would've been three quarters of my beverage. But the restaurant is excellent. I've always loved Cracker Barrel.

This place 4 years ago was so good, but it gradually started to go downhill. My husband and I had a few off experiences there but it then it became consistent disappointment. Undercooked food, sometimes seemed rushed or thrown in in a microwave. Sucks because Cracker Barrel used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I will say the service is great, everyone is always so nice, but the food leaves so much to be desired that eventually we stopped going. The little shop is cute, prices vary from reasonable to over the top. It is a great selection of uncommon sweets and sodas, plus old fashioned toys give it a great feel. If the food went back to being decent again, I'd go back, but as of late it's been more than lackluster.
