Hi Griselda. Please feel free to call the Senior Center at 916-685-3160 and ask for the nutrition program or kitchen. Hot lunches are free to seniors 60 and older. Meals on Wheels asks for a $2 donation if possible. If you can't donate, it's ok! There is a form that you need to complete and then you can start scheduling your lunches. The home delivered meals have more specific requirements as set forth by Meals on Wheels. The nutrition program coordinator can answer your questions for you. Thank you for asking!

Hi ljd! We consider a senior to be "50" :) We're a "50 and better activity center". But really, ANY adult may come to participate. We want everyone to be active, healthy and happy! Senior Center of Elk Grove

Hi Rubbie, sorry for the late answer. AARP does free taxes for low to moderate income seniors at the Center a couple days a week. Under normal circumstances, we start taking tax appointments in mid-January and AARP volunteers begin doing taxes in February. You should call in early to make an appointment!

Hi Donald, our volunteer opportunities change quite frequently. For example, a long time volunteer may decide to move to another area and not be able to continue their schedule, or find they need medical care that will side line them for an indefinite amount of time. No opportunities today may change to "yes!" tomorrow. Come on in and we'll give you a volunteer application, go over the openings and see what kinds of things you're interested in. Thanks for asking!
