Failed test , but good help

DMV and root canal are often compared, but todayβs DMV experience at the Davis office was not too painful. Had to accomplish an address change and a license renewal at the same time (for some reason the online process had not worked) and I was in and out in about 30 min despite many customers being at the office. Staff was friendly and the process appeared well organized. Go DMV!

Please donβt go to this DMV. Zero star The driving test instructor very racist. A friend of mine with 3 years driving record went to Behind the wheel test 6 times donβt pass. A white lady very disrespectful I told Hi to her. She ignored me.

Yes, it doesn't even change the renewal date. Make an appointment since you have so much time.
If you applaying for real id yes you will need social security, birth certificate or us residency or a us passport works and a prove of residency like a bank status thst ylu get in the mail ot just a regular document that said you live in the address. But if you want just a regular id/dl that would said federal limits apply then No but. You will eventually have to renew it in 2020 cuz the regular one gonna be obsolete in 2020
You can walk in but will be helped faster if you have an appointment
They aren't allowing any new appointments at this time. You have to just go there without one.
yes
U don't HAVE to have a real ID if u don't plan to fly OR If u have a passport.
Save more of your time n money n wait till January 2020 Dmv send you 60 days notice probaly Jan So I suggest you enjoy your driving n wait till end of January
No. You have to make an appointment.
Hello Cetin, you will have to take the written test and schedule a driving/ behind the wheel test. Your Turkish Driver's License does not waive the behind the wheel test.
Yes
You have to wait 8 days. After 8 days, you could retest anytime. My niece is 15 1/2 years old and failed the permit test twice. She took her first test on July 15, 2019 and took the test again on July 23, 2019. After 3 failed test you would need to do the document submission process all over again.
Yes they do take debit cards. No credit card at DMV office but on DMV website.
Are you asking or telling? Are you not able to print out the form, is that what you are saying?
I'm fairly certain you will have to go in because you will have to prove your identity. Look online for appointments in any nearby dmv office. Otherwise check the wait times online to judge the best time to go in. Bring a book, relax, it will be over before you know it!
Absolutely! Just go online and you can pay right there. Have your old registration handy if you have it. They will mail your stickers. You may be due for a SMOG but at least get it paid on time to avoid late fees.
You can go to any DMV in California regardless of where you live.
You never have to make an appointment but what I think you're asking is whether you need to wait for someone to do all the paperwork right then, or if you can simply drop it off. I THINK most DMVs have a drop box (they used to anyway). I would go through the information line and speak to that person to be sure. That line usually moves fairly quickly. At least someone physically accepts the plate from you that way. It never hurts to look online to see if any nearby DMVs have an appt available though. Then everything gets completed in front of you.
If you paid then the registration IS current. You won't get a ticket because officers access the current info in the computer. They can actually do that before pulling you over if that is your worry. Plus, its only the 18th. The stickers come pretty quickly if you paid online. They are sent automatically with the new registration card. I guess you could go wait all day at dmv but I bet the stickers will be there in a couple of days.
Davis DMV is the longest wait you will ever have at a DMV. If you have your permit already and need to take the drive test, go to colusa. They are usually booked out less than a month and they are much quicker than anyone else. It is a bit of a drive from sac though. Good luck!
Its been that way since the introduction of the REAL ID. I sat there for hours on 3 different times. Not fun
Check on the website. It is quite a bit more involved I think. There is an inspection and a fee for that, you'll need your title, an application, and there is some kinda of certification or other inspection re the lights and brakes. If you can't find the info online, you can go to the information desk at dmv, there's usually a line (everyone starts there) but it's not bad.
You can download and print that form at home. If you can't and want to pick one up you can probably do that in the "start" or info line which usually isn't too terribly long.
Make an appointment. I was even 3 hrs early for my appointment time and they still got me through fast. Maybe 15 min, even with taking the picture for my license. You can look online for other offices if you don't mind driving to see who can get you in the quickest. Although I've never met a NICER dmv office than Davis!
