Museum was closed (permanently?) Found the cemetery though....that was really neat. Some of those dated back to 1915 when they were buried.

So glad to see an iconic piece of IL history being restored instead of torn down. Thank you guys, all of you, for the work you're doing on the Hill.

Our indoor Haunt, the Infirmary, isn't open this year due to restrictions around the Covid-19 pandemic. We have a trail, the OLD STATE MINE Haunted Trail, which is completely outside and conforms to all of the regulations surrounding safety during the pandemic this year. Hopefully, we can have both next year. Tammara Kent, there are still 12 of the 63 buildings left of the asylum, including the Pollak Hospital, which is where the Haunted Infirmary is located. It is not being demolished. The most recent building that was torn down was the big limestone one, the Bowen Building, which was the nurses' dorm and college... that was in 2017.
This year, due to state and CDC restrictions concerning Covid-19, the indoor Haunted Infirmary will not be open. However, The Old State Mine Haunted Trail, brought to you by IWP Studio (the same company who provides the entertainment for the Infirmary,) is an all outdoor trail and is located just down the street from The Infirmary. Please visit www.hauntedinfirmary.org for Old State Mine's protocol concerning guidelines for a safe entertainment environment during the pandemic.
Search the Pollak Hospital on Facebook and send them a message and they will give you the info.
We have a three tiered ticketing system this year... $13 cash at the gate, $15 Online Hourly Arrival General Admission, and $40 Online Hourly Arrival VIP tickets. VIP tickets are for ages 21 and up, as it includes indoor waiting in a bar, private parking, a ride to the entrance of the trail where you bypass the line. Online tickets are available through our website at www.hauntedinfirmary.org.
Due to our current situation and regulations, we are hosting an all outdoor event again this year (Old State Mine Haunted Trail.) We hope to put an event inside our new building next year. Old State Mine Haunted Trail is open every Friday and Saturday night in October (weather permitting.) The gates open at 7 pm and close at midnight or when we reach capacity.
We started the outdoor Old State Mine Haunted Trail last year because of Covid. The people who owned the building that we had the Infirmary in sold the building, so we are currently operating the Old State Mine Haunted Trail as a solo attraction. It is right across the street from the former Haunted Infirmary, at 4400 Industry Drive in Bartonville. The trail is open every Friday and Saturday night in October at 7 pm and the gates close at midnight, weather permitting.
The indoor Infirmary will not be open, but our Old State Mine Haunted Trail will be open every Friday and Saturday night in October. The gates open at 7 and close at midnight. You can check out the new three tier pricing at our website www.hauntedinfirmary.org.
The recommended age is 14, but younger kids can come through with a parent or guardian.
No, we were only open on the weekends in October. However, we are hosting an Open House on Halloween night for anyone who wanted to see the haunt without actors or fog, and a little more well-lit. $5 for 2 people, 5-9 pm.
We generally don't like to send more than 6 in a group because it makes it hard for everyone to fit into the scenes.
This year's haunt is about 20 minutes long at an average speed.
You can purchase tickets online at www.hauntedinfirmary.org before haunt nights, or pay cash at the gate.
Yes! We're always looking for new volunteers! It's never too late
Yes! We are open every Friday and Saturday starting this weekend from 7pm to 1am. Tickets are $15 per person and you must be on the grounds by midnight
For the most part, yes, but there are never any guarantees LOL Hope to see you in October!
No, we were only open on Friday and Saturday nights in October. We are, however, having a special Open Haunted House event on Halloween night this year from 5 pm until 10 pm. There will be a free photo booth and a lighted, guided tour of some of the scenes from the 2018 Infirmary. There will not be any costumed actors or jump scares.
Yes... $15 in cash, please.
Doom enterprises continues to collect the bodies inside the Haunted Infirmary Haunted House. Come out tonight or tomorrow October 27 & 28 to see if you can escape without the Doom infected you too! $15/person. This will be the final weekend of the season for the haunted house located in the Pollak Hospital, former Tuberculosis Hospital of the Peoria State Hospital complex.
Kelli Bonner... Yes, it is $15 for each person. Recommended for ages 14 and up, though younger kids can come through with a parent or guardian. Wait times vary depending on the time you arrive.. Groups are released into the Haunt a few minutes apart so that they can feel as though they are the only ones into the building. Arriving prior to the gates opening at 6:30 will give you the best chance at a shorter wait time.
No, you must bring your own. Recommend 13/10.
