Great place and great prices

I've always shopped here for excellent fresh sausage and NC brewed beer. I went by there today to get barbeque for a camping trip. The people working up front were most helpful and polite, but I sure can't say the same for the people who work in their meat department. They ignored my requests for assistance and walked by me as they were "too busy" to help me. I asked whether they had other items available for purchase and was rudely blown off. Never again......I'll make the drive to Twins where they always are happy to help me and appreciate my business.

I think this is a great little place to eat and shop. We made a decision to support local businesses during COVID, and we drive out of our way to get to Hurdle Mills. Today was the 2nd time the person checking me out wasn't wearing a face mask. I understand that some customers may not wear masks, but when the person checking me out and handling my food can't be bothered, it makes me rethink my priorities. I hope next time I shop here is a better experience. I want to keep shopping local, and little shops like this deserve our business. 5 stars when I shop here and see smiling eyes looking at me over a mask.

Do they process deer?

We do — we will cut and vacuum pack your deer for you!! Our butchers will hand-cut your deer into steaks, cube steaks, stew meat, roasts, burgers and sausage (patties or bulk ground; hot or mild seasoning), and our vacuum packaging ensures a long shelf life with no freezer burn. We can also freeze the meat for you! We accept whole carcasses or legs, loins, and shoulders. Deer carcasses must be skinned and gutted. Please bring your Harvest ID Number, as required by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Deer drop-off and pickup is available Monday-Saturday, 8AM-5PM. No need to call in advance.
