I went through 9 years of school at Sacred Heart, and learned the Mass in Latin, as well as, Italian. Yes, they were strict, but in a nurturing way. I think the newer church is stunning inside, so airy and light. They honor many of the notable Saints too, but I miss the old church a great deal. Very rustic, & just smelled of cathedral incense throughout. We also had a very expert seamstress, Emma Coccia who made every uniform from Kindergarten through eighth grade by herself. Just incredible! It brings back a flood of wonderful memories. Memories, I will never forget!
