Small businesses owned by local people are hard to come by anymore. New to VB I wanted to stop in several times, but didn't until I started training again. Their inventory on overall product is satisfactory, but their lineup on shoes is really good. The thing that beat everything else was their customer service. I was welcomed by two employees at first and a third joined us after a few minutes. They were very helpful in talking footwear and nutrition (aka gels). Very nice people. I look forward to my next visit.

I bought a pair of Womens Clifton 8’s. The lady that helped me was very friendly she evaluated the way I walked and gave me suggestions on a running shoe best for me. The Hoka’s were very comfortable and I thought I try them instead of the Brook’s. They were so friendly and told me about their program if something happens to the shoe I could bring them back and also their reward program. So I had my husband go and purchase a pair of shoes as well. Being new here I thought what a great little store. Well, three months later not even my shoe was wearing out in the back above my heel. I took them into the store and showed them to Celina. She then asked how I took my shoes on and off? I told her I un tie them and take them off. She then showed me how to untie the shoe and loosen it all the way down before taking it off. She said if you take your shoe off and on and don’t untie it it will wear out. At almost sixty years old I know this. I asked her if they would exchange them. NO. I was told not to be nasty. She printed my receipt and said I could call the manufacturer. I did and sent a picture of the shoe. They were great and very helpful. I’m not a complainer nor have I ever given a bad review but $150 for shoes that wear out so quickly. I won’t be going back to The Running Depot or encourage my friends to.
