Not a bad hostel, basic but very clean and WiFi works well and staff are OK. Downside is the price is extortionate for what it is.

Its generally very clean and you have everything you need. Its a huge place though, so people looking for a similar vibe than in asian or south american hostels won’t find that. It’s very impersonal. No alcohol allowed inside. More like sleep and leave vibes. Prices are high, but compared to other accommodation in Boston acceptable…

This place is a huge scam! Their customer service is a joke. I called their front desk to ask about directions for my reservation and they hung up on me 7 times, finally picked up and asked me not to call anymore. I don’t know how those people think they are running a business but this is a joke!

The hostel was incredibly friendly, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff were very nice and I felt that the location was safe. I had 2 issues/reservations 1-the bedding came packaged in a plastic zip container and mine was slightly damp bud did not smell, not sure if it was the humidity or not fully dried (I just made my bed and left it open for a few hours and was fine) 2- the breakfast was so bad that they really just shouldn’t have one it was basically very dry bread with spreads and cereal/oatmeal (no fruit or yogurt or juice-standards at other hostels even in the US). I knew that the breakfast thing was a problem when most of the guests were eating their own food and not free breakfast. Also we were reprimanded for not following the kitchen rules, but they weren’t clearly posted…the kitchen situation was kind of a functional disaster. But with that being said if you are looking for a basic place to stay I would definitely recommend HI Boston, I would just bring my own breakfast food.

The hostel is very well connected to the metro system.
Don't have exact measurements for you. But they are rather big. I was able to fit my traveling backpack in there with room to spare, hopefully this helps you somewhat.
I stayed there twice in May 2022 and I did not see or hear any children either time. But I would call them direct and specifically ask. They do offer private rooms and mixed gender dorm styles rooms that be available to families.
Hi! Standard rooms are 6 bed dorms, while Deluxe/Premium are 4-bed dorms. You can request a bunk, however, this is subject to availability. We always take note of the guests preferences. We hope to see you in the future!
Cereal.. toast.. apple and orange.. yogurt and juices.. and granolas.
You have to be 18 to reserve a room by yourself, but if there's anyone under that age limit an adult has to accompany them
I stayed 3 nights in April. Pillow, sheets, comforter, all provided. Also realized there was an electrical outlet by each bed. Very convenient.
Agreed, South Station is the closest and in easy walking distance during fair weather. Plenty of cabs/Ubers/Lyft vehicles if you don't want to walk and the Red Line subway entrance provides easy access if you don't want to walk.
You get a large locker fr urself in the bedroom. They won't provide the lock for free. If u want to buy it from them, it costs $6. So, u better got it own lock. Even after locking it, I wouldn't recommend storing anything valuable in it. The hostel does not take responsibility if they get stolen. So, just store ur clothes and stuff in it
Yes. You can say four people for a four person room. Or you can book a private room with a queen bed
No we do not have it, pay again please
No. However you have a huge kitchen where you can cook anything. And no worries, no one will touch your stuff. Plus the hostel is surrounded by restaurants. Just across the street. I don't think you'd need to cook @all
Yes, there are two very large refrigerators and pantry space.. you get a box,, put your name on it,, and store it in the kitchen,, which is well stocked with pots. Etc.
There is currently a Thursday evening boat tour
Generally, children under 18 are not allowed in hostels.
Hi Jaime, Yes! You can use laundry pods while doing your laundry. Each load is going to cost $2.25. You can use coins or a card. Have a nice day!
No there is no kettle in the rooms. But you can use the kettle in the kitchen on the 2nd floor.
Yeah, you can store stuff in the lockers, they're quite big, but you either need your own lock or to buy one at the reception for $5.
They let you store before or after check out. Very accommodative.
I am not sure but I honestly don't see why not.
No . Book Male Dormitory Room.
Depending on the room you select you will have a storage cupboard. I am not sure if it can fit 2. I am sure it can fit one. They have also have storage rooms to keep stuff, you can ask the help desk. I remember it to be free.
All the bathrooms are separated from room
Which convention center are you referring to? If you arenin the Boston Area it should cost you approx $20 in a taxi.
It is. They don't charge as long as you have a reservation with them.
Prices fluctuate depending on the season. It can go from $140 to $220 approximately.
Dont know the dimension but its much bigger than any locker ive ever had in a hostel. big suitcase and a few bags would fit
Very difficult. I was driving a small bus and had to park about 5 miles away. During that journey, I saw very little "free parking."
I never used them, therefore I don't know
Yes and there is a small fee to pay..You can store your luggage.
Yes, for your locker next to your bed. We also sell locks for $5 each at Front Desk.
Yes. They have lockers, probably a different fee if you are not a guesdy
My advice is to forget about the cancellation. It will not affect you the next time you need to make a new reservation.
They do have rules but it remains a bit noisy through the night since it is for all practical phrposes a hostel. Great location though.
And it's about a 5 min walk from the hostel to the subway. Drops you off right there
We parked at one of the nearby parking garages. And it was over $100 for 4 days
There is someone on the desk all night so you can check in 24hr
No, I'm sorry, you can only store your luggage at the hostel while you are staying and up until 1AM the same day as your check out. Unfortunately, there is no extended luggage storage
Bathrooms are not in the dorm rooms. All bathrooms are single use. No community bathrooms.
Chinatown is the closest
