Dr Mike was outstanding. I have been going to Chiropractic for years and never encountered a doctor like Dr Mike. From the moment I walked into his office, he was attentive, listen to all my concerns and answered every question I had. The combination of Chiropractic and acupuncture has work tremendously. Being a Combat Veteran, I suffer from Chronic pain and Dr Mike and helped me a tremendously. If you want a doctor that listen and take care of you, don't hesitate and call Dr. Mike.

Back pain can manifest very differently in various individuals. For example, some may experience deep aches while others feel sharp, acute pain. Yes. Chiropractic care is widely recognized as one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of health care available for back pain. It has an excellent safety record. As with any health treatment, there are potential adverse side effects such as soreness, stiffness, or aches. However, these minor symptoms should fade within roughly 24 hours.
Back pain is one of the most widely experienced medical problems in the United States. Approximately 31 million Americans will have back pain at some point, and low back pain is incredibly common. If you’re suffering from chronic back pain, know that you’re not alone. Many treatments are available, and chiropractic methods are continuously evolving to provide better, more advanced pain alleviation to patients.
Not all upper back injuries are preventable, but there are some things you can do to reduce your risk of pain, such as: Try not to sit for long periods of time Take breaks from working or lying down Doing stretches at work and home Warming up properly before exercising Avoiding lifting objects with your back Strengthening weak back muscles Not wearing heavy backpacks or bags Consciously working on improving your posture
Chiropractic care is one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of back pain treatment. It has an excellent safety record, and any side effects (such as soreness, stiffness, or aches) should subside within 24 hours of the adjustment.
Back pain is an extremely common medical problem in the United States. Although upper back pain is less common than lower back or neck pain, it still affects roughly 1 out of every 10 men and 1 out of every 5 women. If you’re suffering from chronic upper back pain, you’re not alone. We have many treatments available, and our chiropractic methods are continuously evolving to provide better pain alleviation to patients.
This depends on the severity and source of your injury and/or pain. For example, chronic neck pain may require visits more often, while a specific injury may only need a few treatments before you feel improvement. To learn more about your specific treatment plan for neck pain, book an appointment with Optim Chiropractic today. Our experienced team will help you plan your treatment accordingly and reap the full rewards of chiropractic care.
Health insurance plans vary widely on their coverage. The current state of health insurance is often confusing, time-consuming, and frustrating. To better serve our patients, Optim Chiropractic has decided to operate outside the control and restrictions of insurance agencies by not accepting insurance programs. This means your interactions, and options for care, are only between you and the doctor. The typical copay for chiropractic treatments with insurance ranges from $35-$60. Insurance will usually limit the number of chiropractic treatments allowed in a given year, and may even limit the types of treatment the chiropractor can provide. Forget about co-pays, individual deductibles, family deductibles, verifying in-network providers, and wondering if a procedure is covered. By offering affordable healthcare at Optim Chiropractic, we can cut out the middleman insurance company and provide you with the care you need.
Keep your head centered over your spine and try to implement some simple changes in your daily routine, such as: Using good posture and straightening your back Taking frequent breaks from sitting Adjusting desks/chairs to keep computer monitors at eye level Using headsets/speakers rather than holding phones between your shoulder and ear Quitting the habit of smoking Avoiding carrying heavy bags or backpacks Sleeping with your head and neck aligned with your body
Yes - the American Chiropractic Association says that “neck manipulation is a remarkably safe procedure.” It’s one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of pain treatment and has an excellent safety record. In addition, any minimal side effects (such as soreness, stiffness, or aches) should subside within 24 hours of the adjustment.
Neck pain is common among many adults, affecting roughly a third of the population in the United States. Complaints often develop suddenly after an injury, but they can also happen after years of wear and tear and poor posture.

Although not all headaches are preventable, there are some things you can do to lower your chances of triggering one. Take breaks screens - every 30 minutes to every hour Stretch your head and neck often Try not to sit in one fixed position for long periods of time Participate in low-impact exercise such as walking Avoid teeth clenching Drink plenty of water daily
Yes - research shows that chiropractic care (without the use of surgery or medication) can be a very effective treatment for many headache disorders. In general, chiropractic care is considered to be one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of back, neck, and head pain treatment.
Headaches are extremely common - after all, who hasn’t experienced one before? However, the problem occurs when headaches appear repeatedly, indicating that a patient may have a headache disorder. A portion of the population deals with headaches every day or nearly every day, and that’s not something anyone should have to experience long-term. Migraines, a specific kind of headache, are also very common, affecting more women than men. These can be extremely painful and even disabling, impacting patients’ lives on a large scale. If you are plagued by headaches more than just “occasionally,” you may benefit from chiropractic treatment. Learn how we can diagnose your headache symptoms and causes, then help you manage them with spinal adjustments, manipulations, and lifestyle changes.

Unfortunately, there's not a surefire way to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome from developing. Still, you can reduce strain and stress on your hands and wrists to prevent the symptoms from worsening. We also recommend: Paying attention to how tense your hands get Giving yourself frequent breaks from work that uses your hands Stretching often and taking breaks from sitting Trying to hold your hands neutrally, avoiding bending the wrists Reducing the number of repetitive tasks performed by hand Another thing to remember is that your posture can impact the pain in your wrists and hands. For example, poor posture causes people to roll their shoulders forward, which shortens neck and shoulder muscles, crunches the nerves in your neck, and makes wrist problems feel worse.
Yes. Many patients choose chiropractic treatment over injections or surgery. It is typically less risky and still boasts effective results for pain management and symptom reduction.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most common neuropathy issues Americans face, affecting a good percentage of adults. Although the cause is not always determined, many begin to experience it after a traumatic incident, repetitive maneuvers, or even becoming pregnant.
Although one adjustment can quickly provide effective relief for sciatic pain, you will likely need to continue routine treatment to re-adjust the vertebrae to maintain a new alignment. Until your body has fully adjusted, continuous treatment will likely be necessary. Once your sciatic nerve pain has been thoroughly managing, you may be able to end your treatment or continue with visits on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis. Although you cannot always prevent sciatica, there are certain things you can do to reduce the risk of nerve pain, such as: Practice good posture while sitting, standing, and sleeping Lose weight if you are overweight Quit smoking Avoid sitting for long periods of time Lift with your legs bent Ingest enough Vitamin B12
Chiropractic care is a safe and relatively conservative treatment plan for many causes of sciatica. The risks are generally minimal, and any negative side effects of adjustments such as soreness or achiness should subside within 24 hours.
Sciatica is a common yet misunderstood type of pain. Almost half of Americans will experience it at some point, especially as they age. If you already suffer from acute or chronic back pain, you might be more susceptible to sciatica. Your risk also goes up if you are overweight, smoke, or lead a sedentary lifestyle.
Pregnancy is an especially important time to benefit from a higher functioning nervous system. As the baby grows, the extra weight puts additional stress on spinal joints, especially those of the low back. We often receive referrals from OB/GYNs because chiropractic offers a safe way to relieve back pain in expectant mothers without the need for drugs and our techniques can be applied without the need for x-rays. Pregnant mothers find that chiropractic adjustments improve the comfort of their pregnancy and make delivery easier for themselves and their baby. Adjusting methods are always adapted to a patient’s size, weight, age, and condition of health. Once your sciatic nerve pain has been thoroughly managing, you may be able to end your treatment or continue with visits on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis. Chiropractic Adjustment is the term used for the correction of vertebral restrictions in order to restore normal function. There are a number of different methods or techniques which chiropractors use to adjust dysfunctional joints, including the “high velocity, low amplitude” (HVLA) manipulation which most people associate with chiropractic treatment. At Optim Chiropractic, our treatment is tailored to the individual and we use a variety of techniques that have been proven to get better results in a shorter time. In addition to HVLA manipulation, we also employ Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM). This soft tissue technique works hand in hand with traditional chiropractic care to gently and effectively break up fascial tissue and help break the ‘muscle memory’, providing for more effective adjustments that last longer.
Chiropractic works to correct spinal joint restrictions. Such restrictions can irritate delicate spinal nerves, causing neuromuscular dysfunction and may result in a variety of health problems, or even permanent damage to the spine itself. Chiropractors are trained to identify and correct the vertebral restrictions; thus reducing pain and restoring joint and nervous system function.
In a word, yes. Chiropractic has an excellent safety record as a result of a conservative and natural approach to health that avoids invasive procedures or drugs with side effects. Compare malpractice rates between chiropractors and other healthcare professionals as proof. A chiropractors’ malpractice premiums are a small fraction of those for medical and osteopathic practices.
