I've been going to Donahoo's since the 80s. I've seen it go through a few owners. Sometimes the chicken was dry or juicy but I remained a loyal customer to my childhood restaurant and I'm glad I did because it just got better, new ownership, same menu, and same tasting but improved chicken and Cole slaw.

A classic hit from back in the day. A heavily battered, golden brown, deep fried chicken thats seasoned with seasoned salt after its fried. In todays marketplace they really are not as special, but its worth having just for the nostalgia of it all.

Walked in to a sleeping older female took a few seconds to wake her up and let her know the chicken smelled like it was burning. After telling her how far we came to get this chicken I had not had in over 10 years she still served me the burnt chicken. I won't be back.

The original Donahoo's is on Town ave in Pomona, we were getting chicken there in 1971.
I have gone once and yes they were closed for cleaning. I usually call ahead to order for pickup. That will let you know they are open. Try it. 😊
If the food is so terrible then go else where to eat. Just that plan simple
