I had lunch there, got a few pieces of sashimi and then a plate with sashimi and one roll. It was good, but average. Basically what I'd expect from a generic sushi place. I can't comment on anything else because that's all I've had. I will probably go back when I get a sushi craving because it's close. I still can't figure out the plastic light that came with my sushi. I don't need worthless garnishes.

Honestly it looks super pretty but the flavor is just bland. The beef was too well done and dried. The sushi didn’t taste fresh.

This review is about 7 years in the making. This is Newberry/Jonesville's best kept secret and my all-time favorite sushi restaurant. My ex siblings-in-law recommended this place years ago and it soon became our go-to for dinner double dates, regular dates and family outings. I don't live near Gainesville or Newberry anymore, so I don't get to eat here as much as I'd like, but I recently came back and it's just as good as I remembered. There was a time when Dragonfly in Gainesville was the place I frequented for great sushi and while it's still a marvelous place to eat, I actually much prefer Fuji's, which I think is slightly superior. Plus, parking is awful downtown G'ville. Fuji's fried and deep fried sushi rolls are my favorites. Their Dynamite Roll, Sumo Roll, and Mount Fuji Roll are truly sublime! Let me just add, I love to eat, so I've had many a good meal in my time and I have my favorites... So I can say with confidence and certainty that Fuji's sushi is the greatest I've ever tasted. I know it may sound hyperbolic, but trust me, it's not... Taking those first few bites is almost euphoric; I mean, eyes-rolling-in-the-back-of-the-head kind of feeling. Their non-fried rolls are superb too, but that special crunchiness from the fried ones are just out of this world! They put care into their dish presentation (just look at their photos!), the fish is fresh, the service is always good and even crazier are the prices, which are surprisingly affordable! It's always cool discovering fantastic little hole-in-the-wall restaurants and this one is no exception. Not to mention, there is plenty of parking. Of all the reviews I've written, this one case where I'd give 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Best food I've ever tasted, at least in my opinion, and everyone else I know that has been there also love it. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Been here a few times and the food and service is always phenomenal. Best sushi in the Gainesville area hands down. The gyoza are also fantastic, and they have great premium sakes to choose from. The owner was our server this past visit, and he was a rockstar. He made sure our meal and visit when top notch. We'll definitely be back again soon!
