Higgins Energy Alternatives is a wonderful business to work with. Two years ago We were referred by a family friend. We have been enjoying our Harmin Pellet stove. Today, Marco came to service our pellet stove (2nd cleaning) and did a very thorough job cleaning our stove. He went above and beyond and managed to get a stain off the top part of the stove. He took the time to answer questions I had. I highly recommend getting your stove serviced once a year. I highly recommend Higgins Energy Alternatives.

I’ve never had a wood pellet stove and he showed me how to use it, took the time to answer all my questions professionally, and made sure the wood stove was safe and ready to use. They used to be a good company, I bought my Harmen stove from them and had it installed by them back in 2008. Good service and install, I bought pellets from them for a few years after that and the prices kept going up, so I stopped. Service and cleaning were still good until this year. I would get my stove cleaned every other year. The tech came and took apart the stove and did an incredible job. Until this year, two guys showed up and spent 13 minutes vacuuming my stove. When they left, I ran my hand on the vent pipe(see pic) didn’t even touch it. They were both very nice, but nice doesn’t make my stove work. Told me it was set and left.....the service has also gone up in price over the years but worth it until now. I paid 23 dollars a min for a total of 299.00 to have it vacuumed. I will be going to another company for EVERYTHING from now on. Update- 2-14-2022. They did send me back half my payment, I'm still not sure if I will be using them for cleaning, but it's good to know some companies are still honest about what they do and when they do it wrong.
