The appeal of Wachusett is the proximity to the city and its surrounding suburbs. They also have night skiing. The multiple lift pass options available provide options, and they have passes with lift + lesson + rental that are decently priced for someone new to skiing/snowboarding. The terrain isn't amazing (you practically have to push yourself down the green runs), but they have good snow-making capabilities, a small terrain park, and one side of one black run they keep bumped up. Everything else is groomed, and they do groom between "sessions" sometimes. I didn't learn how to ski at Wachusett, but I spent a day or two at the beginning of my first skiing season lapping the right side with all of blue runs to improve my technique (it worked). It's a beginner/very family-friendly mountain, but if you want to get some runs in, it is close by and usually inexpensive. The weekends are busy. Crazy busy. The line for the main lift is LONG during the day. I just went for night skiing for the first time, which was quite enjoyable. Nearly the entire mountain is open for it, ordering online was easy, and I got a decent number of runs in in the 2.5 hours because the lift lines were not insane. Worth it.

Put my son in snowboarding lessons at Wachusett. Mike was awesome worked with my son very well and got him confident on the board. I took him this past Sat for his 3rd lesson. I wish I could remember his instructors name but she was great as well. She got my son on the chair lift that day which was a accomplishment I was wondering when he would master. If your looking for great instructors for your kids this is the place. My 8 year old is confident and has the basics to atleast enjoy greens and blues on the mountain. Thank you again

Great place to ski! The family and I went here for the day for the first time in Dec. 2021 and the mountain, ski lifts and trails were great. The rentals were in good condition and the trails were nicely groomed. Another great part of the …Hi Adrian, thank you for your comments! We are so glad you enjoyed the rentals and your lesson! You are correct, since your visit we have been able to make lots more snow and open up the bunny hill completely! We hope to see you again soon!

Nice mountain! If your a complete beginner or really experienced you'll have a lot of fun! The food is really good, they have a lot of stuff. The mountain may not be the biggest you have been to but it's still a nice placeHi Trent! We are so glad you enjoyed the terrain variety, the accessibility, and the food at Wachusett! We hope to see you back on hill soon!

Yeah. Unfortunately, weather. Plus, despite the high price of Mountains and infrastructure, prices should be closer to free.
I think just on weekends
Wachusett mountain is a very customer focused local ski area. The family that runs it is great, and they pass that customer focused attitude on to the dozens of employees. They will generally do everything they can to help you out.
not sure either. did not see bikers on trail. but the road has bikers
Yes, there is a lodge that can be entered free of charge. You would only pay for food, drinks, etc.
Bronze pass is for any night including holidays from 4 -10 pm; and, Monday through Friday 9am -4pm on non-holidays or non-school-vacation days.
Absolutely yes. Another fun hike close by, no charge, open year around is Watatic Mountain
They make snow when the temperatures are right. Most of what is listed is man made snow only a little was actual natural snow
Yes you can. They have open cubby boxes to leave your belongings or they have locked lockers you can rent for the day
We will be open for skiing and riding midweek early season as long as the weather holds!
There is during the winter when the ski area is operating. Uber or cab during the summer.
Yes both inside and outside and the food place is open to buy burgers, fries ,chicken tenders etc.
They usually do it late march
I believe pay ahead online is preferred and its based on time slots, I think they label it as "double session" on there website for an all day pass.
Go to their website that is where you reserve a slot, times are elotted due to COVID regulations
yes, your day pass ends around 4pm. I think if you have a day pass they might give you a discount on night skiing. I would ask the front desk.
Ralph's Run is absolutely a great started blue trail! It does get a little steep, especially towards the end, but as long as you've got your wedges and turns down you'll do great!
Nope! Just dress warm. There's also a store in the lodge that sells all sorts of winter clothing!

Here's a thought - turn it off or mute it. I assume nobody is forcing you to watch wachusett commercials.
Yes we are! We are open until 8:00pm tonight and then again next weekend.
I just went ahead and order new ones for 19/20.
Would call and ask them directly
As mentioned already, all season passes allow for weekend skiing. However, bronze pass is for night skiing only but you can get a discounted rate for a day pass.
No u can go whenever u want unless the rain melts all the snow on all the trails that's when they close
Yes, there is a place in leominster. It's a pool store in the summer and a ski and snowboard rental store in the winter.
Doubt it.
There's no weight limit.
Didnt have instructors, just went skiing with friends.
You should call and ask, coustomer service could probably answer that for you.
Nothing is up. Business seems great. Probably decided to cut down on their advertising budget because they don't need to do as much of it
For passes there are 2 levels for 65+ Bronze is cheaper at $279 and includes Weekdays Monday-Friday (except holiday and school vacation breaks) All Nights (Monday-Sunday) Ages 65+ Gold is $339. And includes unlimited access. I would imagine a reduction in other cases but I can't find it
They have a full-service shop at the rental and sales area they do a great job.
You have to check with them
Thier New Year Eve flyer says that they will have it.
No. Nearest is Nashoba Valley or Granite Gorge in NH
It is posted on the website that they close at 8 for the beginning of the year. It's on the red banner at the top of the web page
Just keep them on a leash, some people are afraid of dogs no matter friendly you think they are. Also the ski area is DCR land and all dogs are required to be on a leash.
Nope!
Yes
Most likely, do have, check in with thier Website for offical times mountain is up and running. I want to say the restaurant and bar are open year round. Mr. P says.😎
Try contacting the Mt. they can help with that
I'm kind of fat and I can usually get up in 45 or so
You should contact the mountain directly for this complaint. Google guides will unfortunately not be very helpful here.
Yes. They aim to stay open at least through the first weekend in April.
You can purchase a night pass starting at 4 pm. The mountain clears out around 730. Before that it's very busy with school teams.
At the base lodge there is I believe Advil and stuff like that. Not sure exactly what brand but there is medicine. It is right at the checkout counter

Yes. Wachusett had an early opening yesterday. Typically it is the day after Thanksgiving.
They typically open the day after Thanksgiving. The number of trails open depends on cold weather but with their new snowmaking system I expect them to be in pretty good shape. Trails should be open on all areas of the mountain. The peak, the lower mountain and beginner area.
Not really a destination resort, but the mountain owns/owned an inn on Rte 2 about five minutes away. Alternatively there are a few quaint B&B's in the area (Princeton and Westminister). There should be a shuttle. Check with the mountain for the stops. There is a train from Boston on weekends and the shuttle picks up at the station. Assuming it may make other local stops in between train pickups.
Balance rock to old Indian should take you 45-60 minutes. Most other trails are around that same time.
Yes November
Yeah, but I have never seen them uncovered without being roped off
Wachusett mountain offers an instructor training program. Attending that is one way to become an instructor at the Wachusett mountain.
