I’m giving this business 3 out of 5 stars for a few different reasons. Generally when I come in to pick up meals (not preorder) I am greeted by kind helpful staff. However, there have been multiple times that this is not the case. It’s always a guessing game with the mood of certain staff. Today(Monday) for instance, I asked which meals were available. The staff member helping me sighed as though I’m inconveniencing her. One meal from your weekly rotating menu was available according to the staff member. The whole transaction was extremely awkward and uncomfortable for me. I would like to do online ordering but the ordering process is confusing… If I’m not saying something right about picking up a couple of meals on the rotating menus please let me know as my goal as a customer is to do the right thing for your staff. Thank you for understanding.

Mordern Grub is the absolute best! Where to begin...the food is always fresh and delicious. At times you can walk in and see them preparing the meals. …Aaahhhh this made our day! OUR WEEK! Staff is always welcoming and friendly. I've never had a bad meal from them and I love the variety offered each week. Overall, this is fantastic business with a wonderful staff. As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of coronavirus (COVID - 19), we feel it is important to share with you the extra precautions we are taking to help keep our customers and team members safe and healthy during this difficult time. Please be assured we have protocols in place and are working with the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local public health officials at the Kern County Public Health Department. We feed many people who are immunocompromised, cancer patients, and people who suffer from celiac and autoimmune disorders. We consider ourselves to be a crucial part of the fix, ensuring that the sick don’t get any “sicker”. Our Community depends on us to keep them fed, healthy and safe. With that said, we did decide to close our doors to the public during Food Preparation and Cook Time Blocks, but since have opened back up, allowing only 2 customers in at a time.
