I have been trying to obtain a long arms permit for over a year now. They have sent back my packet of info twice after holding it for weeks, claiming there is missing information every time. I’ve sent them back the paperwork for the THIRD time and still see no end to this ridiculous process. If I were in the position of urgently needing a firearm for self protection I would be dead by now. The fact that every ct resident with a clean record cannot obtain a firearm permit within a reasonable timespan proves that the second amendment ceases to exist in Connecticut

I’m from watebruy myself, I promise you they are playing you. I got mine in 9 weeks. Once u send an appeal for a court date, they get right on it. Waterbury doesn’t want to go to court but they are also rude and lazy.
