The closest hotels or restaurants are roughly 45 mins away. Climbing down the bridge to the river is roughly 10 mins, but steep. If you plan to hike up stream to the main area it could take another 30-45 mins
We didn’t but we saw lots of people with their dogs who had made the descent
On far side of bridge is were i see most people park. It isnt a lot of spots. But is worth the visit by far.
Easy to find, but not that easy to get to. There are accidents and drownings every year. Be careful.

Agreed, older kids can make it but too hard for those under 2-3. Once you are down, much easier to get around.
