I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2017. I had a choice of Lifespan which is very close to me and Dana Farber/Brigham which is difficult to get to. I chose Lifespan. It was the worst mistake of my life. Dr’s and nurses were nice enough, but simply not in the same league as the Dana Farber / Brigham team. Multiple times I ran into trouble at LifeSpan and the Dr’s blew off and dismissed warning signs. I know much more now and am much more educated on the disease and treatments. I did switch my care to the Dana Farber / Brigham team. They provide significantly better care and are much more experienced than LifeSpan Cancer Center. It is life altering being diagnosed with Cancer. Treatment place is a difficult decision, but I can say from experience make the trip to Boston and get the best care possible. It might even save your life. I know going to lifespan first has made my current situation much more difficult. It will be two additional years of “rough times” because of my mistake
