Wrights Mill Farm is the most breathtaking, affordable, country-chic wedding venue in Connecticut! Close to New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts you will find this quiet yet exquisite post and beam barn tucked away ready to host your next large event or wedding. Bre, Curt, and Mark are phenomenal to work with and all play their own part leading up to and during the day of the wedding. I loved the idea of packages so folks with all budgets and luxuries in mind could customize their special day. The horse-drawn carriage and waterfall ceremony site did it for me! The ponies showing up on my special day totally calmed my nerves and made for some gorgeous photography. The ambience, setting, and drinks were spot-on. Curt was gracious enough to work with us on customizing our dinners with edible flowers we brought in. The food was absolutely delicious (surf and turf to die for - perfectly cooked filet - and amazing apps), hot, and served by a wonderfully attentive staff. Cheryl took care of us all night and made sure we felt like the MVP's of the day. It was a really nice touch to feel extra cared for on the day of the wedding with so much going on. I do think their customers' experience could be totally enhanced with at least one more wedding planner/coordinator to be a bit more touchy feely with customers during the booking/sales, meal tasting, and overall planning process leading up to the day of the wedding. Curt and Bre were always so responsive, but seemed hurried or spread a bit thin in responses which occasionally left small holes for error or other questions. Understandable, being a small family-owned and operated business making the magic happen multiple times a week. It's really not a gripe just a consideration for those who may be more high-maintenance. All the recommended vendors here are also so great! Ashleigh Taylor Bridal, Up Beat DJ, E. Jane Photography, The Local Bouquet, Wanderlove Pictures, and First Student bus rental in Griswold made this day so stress-free and fun! Mark from Upbeat DJ was a great resource leading up to the wedding and spent a lot of time answering questions and brainstorming with us. Patrick also kept us on schedule and was like our personal body guard for the day. I do wish the DJ would have played more songs from the playlist we sent as they seemed to have a lot of "go-to's" of their own that we weren't really expecting, but overall the dance floor was poppin'! Thank you so much to the entire staff at Wrights Mill for making our wedding day an absolute fairy tale. So many guests came up to us saying how it was the best wedding they’d ever been to! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a rustic, unique, and nature-themed wedding in the sticks of North Eastern CT. What a perfect hidden gem in the quiet corner!

Words truly cannot express the love I have for Wrights Mill Farm and their entire staff. Curt and Bri are some of the best people you will meet and will ensure that your day is planned perfectly and goes off without a hitch. My wedding had to be rescheduled numerous times due to the pandemic and they helped me every step of the way and eased all of my concerns. Their grounds are beautiful, their new barn is breathtaking, and the ceremony site is one of a kind. My wedding day was truly amazing and it would not have been the day it was without Curt and Bri and their staff that helped to coordinate our day. Our guest raved about the food, the beauty of our venue, and how smoothly everything ran. My day was perfect and so will yours if you go with Wright Mill Farm. Also, go with with their preferred DJ, UpBeat DJ! You won’t regret it, Mark was amazing and had me up on the dance floor all night!
