My favorite place to walk to in Chicopee. So quiet, peaceful, and for the most part, you have it to yourself.. It's such a huge Cemetery, that you don't notice when people show up.

My dad has been buried at St Stans since 1996 in the back section of the cemetery where the beautiful red maples are. It was always a lovely spot until about 9 yrs ago. He has not had a blade of grass for that amount of time. All dirt and dust in a huge area which is about 15 by 20 ft. It makes our hearts cry. Usually it’s mud when damp. Why they can’t repair it is beyond me. It’s a disgrace what little pride this cemetery takes. Its only cares in the front of the cemetery. With the monies they receive from the solar company they can afford some loam and grass seed.

I have never seen a cleaner better organized cemetery. I am not Roman Catholic, but when I die I wish I could be buried there, if so I know my grave site would be respected.
