What a waste of a day! I called this Shop Rite 7/25/22 confirming live lobster was still $7.99/lb until the 30th, (*knowing I must spend $25 on other items, ootherwise the sale is $8.99/lb as the flyer and App showed.) They confirmed and I ordered 3 steamed for 2:30pm. I took a photo of the $7.99 tank signs, then I asked the seafood people where the price was as they didn't tag weight, price on bag. They were ready 2:33pm *(so on-time!) I also only waited 2 minutes for the deli, as 2nd person came on, done quickly sized on #4 thickness as I asked (no problem there, that's also the good) I quickly gabbed 4 or 5 items counting in my head they were at least the $25 min. I took photos of the sale prices on these. I scanned Shop Rite card at self-checkout, I scanned the lobster bag tag and it showed $45.99 (so the $12.99/lb NO sale price!) I informed the person at self-checkout, she doesn't confirm the $7.99/lb sale is on this week, instead, informs me the sale was last week only. I said they're $8.99/lb this week in the flyer, so why are they showing at $12.99/lb? I also showed her the tank price photo (she doesn't know how to fix, gets head cashier, who doesn't know about the price either and gets a 3RD PERSON dressed in black- who confirms the $7.99/lb price and has the 1st person manually enter the correct lobster cost. However, now I see $40~ more than that, (yet I only had $25 of other items!) She doesn't see the problem, nor can head cashier, but says some items aren't on sale, so have the Courtesy Desk help you. (We found this store had items in several shelf areas in the wrong place, meaning items NOT ON SALE were directly mixed in with others on sale in the sald space, so I had got some of each not catching, since they are same pkg, looks, etc.) I normally catch that, partially my fault, but it took FIVE people and 3 sales slips before my I was correctly charged with the correct items that were on sale! I was at this store for 1.5 HOURS just for them to fix lobster pricing and the other items! Then I'd had enough and got a Mgr, I told him all of this, and I asked lobster showing NO SALE PRICE?? Why employees weren't aware of lobster prices?? Why several non-sale items are combined with sale items in several areas?? He stated he would go ask the seafood employees about it and check stock on the items. I also showed him photos of how it was mixed up. He did not offer anything in return for all of my time I was there! I should've been in and already out in 7-10- minutes! I left and I didn't get home 4:30p, again, I left for the store 2pm (I could've went scubadiving for my lobsters in that time!) Never have had these problems at the Shop Rite Clinton store! If there was ever something minor, perhaps my own fault or pricing problem, that store resolved it very quickly, no B.S. delay. like New London! LUCKY FOR ME, I always bring a cooler to put steamed lobsters right into right when they're handed to me, so they were actually still warm at home. *If I didn't have my cooler, I would've had to wait another 20-minutes to steam others as the ones I had would've already been cold! *It would've made my shopping visit 2hrs! All of it wasted my whole afternoon though!

I think this was actually my first time at a ShopRite. My first impression is pretty positive, they appear to have a much wider variety of brands than most stores. Case in point, they actually sell a lot of plant based or vegan type frozen foods for kids and adults, which is great for our family. They also sell a lot of other products (coolers, outdoor furniture, air conditioning units, fans, grills, etc...) if you were in a pinch to setup a last minute indoor/outdoor party, ShopRite would have literally every item on your list.

Found some great deals with items I buy that were on sale. Went in for 1 item (dog food) which they had in stock. ☺

Love shopping here. But every time i go to self scan getting a employee to help is impossible. They are always to busy having conversations with other employees. Other than that the store is Great!
