Spent 2½ months here in 83 with 30% of my body burned from an auto accident, then came in for debreeding and pt for 6 weeks and then checked back in for skin grafts. Little more than 4 months of hell, but back in 83 this was the best place in Ct to be. It's totally different now, cadaver skin, lab grown skin, I wouldn't have gone so long with the burns left open, would've had cadaver skin applied as soon as possible and it would not have taken 4 months.
