Beautiful little swimming hole with a really nice trail around it and some cool historic stuff with nice landscaping through the trees! Wish people wouldn't bring loud music or smoke and leave their trash though.

The way I go is from the parking lot, follow the stream to the road, turn left cross the stream then take the trail that goes upwards on the other side of the stream. Cross the cycle path, continue the trail up to the top.
Yes the swimming area is open
Closed? Not at all...we go used to go there all the time. The town has their fishing derby there every year from what I remember

There are no grills present but you could bring your own portable camping grill
There is a small sandy beach area. I always see lots of kiddos and sometimes adults swimming as well! It looks decently clean to me but I'll admit I've never swam there personally
