Questions & Answers

Is this a Born Again church?

Hi Elvis! Thanks for your question. We believe that being born again is the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of every true believer in Christ. We believe in the description in John 3 of what it means to be born again. Many people believe that born again describes a person who had some reawakening or a personal encounter with God. While true of many, it's hard for many to know when they began to believe in Christ. A parallel can be seen in our physical birth. A person may not know their own birthday, but a person was certainly born. We have many who grew up in church and the Spirit of God has moved in them to believe, but they may not know when they started to believe. We just aim to be faithful to the Triune God and pray and ask that God would move in the lives of people in His time. Hope this helps explain where we are! God bless!

Hi Christine, thank you for your question. It's good to see family members who are interested in the spiritual growth and maturity of the next generation! We baptize adults and infants twice a year: Easter and Christmas. With regards to your question, we believe that Baptism is a communal affair and that for infants/children it means that we as a church are committing ourselves not just to baptize, but to also come alongside the family to help disciple the next generation know the ways of God. For us, we see it a long-term commitment to the family and inclusion into the community. To achieve this vision, we would hope that the sponsor would be a member of our church and be willing to guide the child to know Christ. I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. God Bless
