I was really pleased with the work was done on my father the late Bobby Lee Green the staff was amazing and the process was easy which made things much better especially during a difficult time for me. I'm sorry I'm late writing this review but I couldn't let another day go bye without thanking such wonderful loving and kind staff that I trusted with my Hero who meant the world to me and you all did such a awesome job no stress just getting the job done and taking good care of the family I'm so pleased and again thank you all.

My experience: On 12/24/21 I lost my wonderful husband of 31 years. His wish was to be cremated so I entrusted Mitchell's Funeral Home (not related) to facilitate his memorial service and cremation. It was explained to me that due to Covid19 there was a backlog and it would take longer than usual to get the death certificate back. This I understood. On or about January 28th I was called and told the certificates were back and I could pick them up, which I did. I was told at that time it might take as long as two weeks for the ashes to be returned and I would be called once they were back to pick them up. Today (2/15/22) I decided to call since I had not heard from anyone at MFH. I was told, after being placed on a long hold, oh yes they are back and have been here since 1/31/22. I immediately went down to pick up my dear husbands ashes. I asked why I did not receive a call and was told that she called me once and I didn't answer. I asked why she didn't leave a message and her response was that they don't leave messages like that. I told her she could have just asked that I return her call. Her response was... oh. So for more than two weeks my husband's remains were on a shelf, desk, table or something like a piece of unclaimed/unwanted luggage or a unclaimed/unwanted package. So much for dignity! You decide, but my opinion is that the care his remains received were improper, unprofessional undignified and dishonored. To add insult to injury when I picked up his ashes I was given a bag containing a blank memory book (they didn't bother to put it out before the service started) and thank you cards. What am I suppose to do with them now? I would never wait this long to send out thank you cards for anything. I sincerely pray that others are never ever treated this way.

My wife and I recently suffered a terrible tragedy, and we deeply appreciate their care and compassion.

There's a charge for it and it's the family responsibility to pay for it. Of course you do not know this until after the fact. It's not a free service.
