I have been a patient of Dr. Shaw for years and this grievance has nothing to do with the medical care. I’ve seen Dr. Shaw 4 weeks ago for reoccurring knee pains. I was told that Dianna would call my insurance for gel shot approval and call me to let me know. Four weeks and 9 messages later still no response, no call back and no shots. The constant pain is unbearable and so is the lack of customer service. Would they ignore patients if it was their practice? Where is the office manager? I can’t believe this is acceptable.

All-Pro Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. P.A. | Sep 20, 2022

Surgery can treat a torn meniscus, either through total or partial meniscectomy. Total meniscectomy removes the entire meniscus, while partial meniscectomy removes only the torn portion. The total meniscectomy relieves symptoms, but because the entire meniscus is removed, the joints will lose cushioning and stability. After a partial meniscectomy, rehabilitation exercises may help restore knee mobility, and strength, and improve range of motion, thereby maintaining knee stability offers faster and complete recovery. We provide elite orthopedic care and sports medicine in Florida here at All-Pro Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. If you have a torn meniscus, we will determine its condition and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan depending on the patient’s age, activity level, type of tear, and related injuries.

Since the meniscus supports up to half of the body’s weight in a standing position, it’s essential to protect them. Appropriate footwear is crucial, especially for sports such as football. You should warm up gently before starting a workout. Warmups increase blood flow and flexibility. Muscle fatigue reduces your body’s natural protective mechanisms, increasing your risk of injury.

Here at All-Pro Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Florida, our doctors will work with you to develop a treatment plan best suited to your particular condition. Dislocated shoulder treatment may involve different techniques, depending on the severity of your condition: closed reduction, immobilization, medication, rehabilitation, or surgery. It is generally best to treat shoulder dislocations conservatively and strengthen them with guided rehabilitation if it is the first time they have happened. It may require resting the joint, applying ice to reduce swelling and pain, using a sling to immobilize the joint, taking pain medication, and eventually, undergoing physical therapy. Otherwise, our trained doctors will provide a different dislocated shoulder treatment plan. A recurring problem may indicate that the shoulder is unstable, and surgical intervention may be needed.

It is natural for our bones and muscles to lose their tone and elasticity with age. When a spinal disc ruptures or bulges, it puts pressure on surrounding nerves, resulting in pain signals that travel to the brain. They become less able to cushion the vertebrae and are more prone to spasming or breaking. Back pain can also be caused by smoking, obesity, poor posture, and lack of sleep. All-Pro Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Florida don’t just treat athletes. Besides sports-related injuries, we also treat patients with arthritis, shoulder replacements, hip replacements, knee replacements, traumatic injuries, and fractures.
