Wish I could give Zero stars. Our weekly experience is never outstanding because the work culture here is so anti-customer focused but today took the cake. Foul stench of either rotting meat or produce coming out of the refrigerated area. Fouler employees! At least 2 of our items rung up incorrectly and didn’t notice until we had checked out—too distracted by the cashier having a conversation with the manager inside their office that he better not be training anyone today bc he was too tired to do that job. Took my receipt to the front desk to try and get our refund but the process is made to be too difficult that you just feel defeated and give up. The rude lady at the desk told me I can’t go by the price tags bc management won’t honor the prices; that I should go off the receipt. I told her as the customer it isn’t our responsibility to keep up with prices and deal with incorrect tags- RD is a huge corporation and needs to have policies in line to keep up with the ever-changing prices and sales. And if they can’t due to staffing then their policy on adjusting prices should be focused on the customer experience. The manager came over to adjust and asked me where the tags were; said he would have to go get “all the tags” and it would take a while. Basically letting me know it wasn’t worth the time. I said forget it and took my receipt. Then took time out of my day to fetch the tags, brought them to the service desk stating I did their job so hopefully no one else would have tp experience what I did today. Restaurant Depot is robbing business owners! They count on customers not wanting to deal with their employees because we know how awful they are at customer service and just leaving. With inflation as it is we cannot stand for being robbed by a large corporation like RD. I’d rather pay slightly more for better service (or any for that matter!)

It is difficult to find items here. None of the aisles are marked the entrances to the freezer aren't clearly marked that you are allowed as a customer to go into them. It was a very confusing experience for a first-time customer I had to stop and ask several people where things were. You also have to dodge forklifts while maneuvering isles with the large flat carts.

I was checking out and had an item that was priced strangely. The manager came over and scolded me because I didn’t have the tag off the shelf for the item. I was made to go back and get it like a child even though I had a picture. She wouldn’t even look at it. Turns out it the tag was in the wrong place and it was a slightly different product. If she would’ve just looked at the tag that could’ve been avoided. Completely uncalled for and I called her out. The manager and employees in this location are the worst. They are rude and don’t care. If you absolutely need something, go but if not, run the other way. Much experiences at GFS stores or Costco or Sam’s. At least you won’t get talked down to.

If you get there early don't use doors 1 2 or 4 they don't work they should put up a sign , other wise fast friendly staff in and out cheap lumper service , kinda tight but do able watch the trees.We are so happy that you had a 5-star experience at the Louisville Restaurant Depot location. We are looking forward to your next visit!
