I have a 2016 Kia soul and battery is dead. Can I buy one from Auto zone and have them install it? Will it affect my warranty?

Yes you can purchase from Auto Zone and have them install it. Won't do anything to your warranty.

Why is kia telling me that battery has a 36month 36,000 mile warranty.. Now im told in service that i have to pay for battery..

Buy your own code scanner for less. Them charging a fee to troubleshoot is standard.

Mine is free as I signed up for one of their maitence plans. It might cost a bit more monthly but I perfer that over a giant bill I am not expecting. And yes maitence routinely. They have a local shuttle if you do not want to wait there.
