Update 2022 #2 Dropping 2 stars wasn't fair since my daughter's figure skating makes up for what I see as lacking on the hockey side. Update 2022: I dropped two stars from previous review. The more time I spend here and observe the hockey teams, coaches, administrators, and players, the more concerned I get for the future of the sport of hockey. There appears to be some sort of secret formula to playing for certain teams (not applicable to the highest tier team here). Furthermore, I don't see kids having fun anymore unlike what I experienced back in 70s and 80s. Lastly, unless you start your kid on skates right after they learn to walk; pay the coaches for many lessons and sessions (time and $$$); and, here's the kicker, your kid is a naturally talented you may want to get your kids into another sport. Sadly, my kid is missing two of those three. I didn't want to write this review because the Figure Skating side of the house has better coaches and administration. Update: I am at this ice rink every day now. Love the place, the remodeling looks great. It's the best ice rinks in the vast suburbs of the blue lagoon, with the exception of Capitals Arena and their practice rinks. I spent most of my time after work at this ice rink with my kids. I wish the University of Delaware ice rinks were as good as these when I was growing up. I recommend this rink if you have an aspiring figure skating daughter or NHL bound son. I can dream can't I?
