Excellent slightly elevated boardwalk path takes you through a mangrove swamp and salt marsh without getting muddy. Slow down and look carefully and you will see magnificent specimens of Golden Orb Weavers (large, colorful spiders) on their impressive webs. The very end of the boardwalk ends at a view of Glover Bight- a stretch of water and greenery and oyster shoals. It is hard to believe that civilization is just around the corner as it feels like a first hand look and walk back to what Florida looked like before condos and snowbirds and industry took hold. This boardwalk is wheelchair accessible/friendly from parking lot to viewing area at the very end. The viewing tower is not wheelchair accessible. The walk is just long enough for tourists and quick doses of nature, but may be too short for the serious hikers who are more interested in distance traveled and fitness than stopping to quietly observe the flora and fauna of this Cape Coral gem. Note: there are no services at this location. For restrooms, please visit Rotary Park around the corner.
