Shea Araba Waters
Beautiful and peaceful place to take a walk throughout seasons. Parking is very limited, especially on the weekend. There is a small waterfall that leads to the water.

Beautiful woodland. Little water fall on the back. Wish park was easier

Carpool and be wary of limited parking. Parking is free. Pretty trail near a river and small waterfall.

Surprisingly large wooded public park offering waterfalls, hiking trails, pet attractions, and balance exercises crossing shallow streams. Many visitors come to picnic, and their sound sources can be annoying, but on the whole Scott's Run is a treasure.

No motels very close but some pricier places available in McLean and Tysond
Sure, but if you can protect the tree bark from rope damage as much as you can (with wider straps or cloth under the rope), it would be much healthier for the trees that you tie your hammock to.
Poor water quality. The health department determined that the water is not safe to swim in. Most of it drains from the Tysons corner area including its parking lots
No. It's primarily a moderate hike with a small waterfall.
Not a good idea...i went with a jogger stroller and still very difficult...eventually had to turn back
Yes, as long as it is during normal hours, and a non flooding event.
There is NO swimming. You are not allowed to swim at your own risk. The FCPD are cracking down on this because of the 100s of bags of trash left by people who can’t follow the rules. It’s a class 4 misdemeanor, $250 fine and you get banned from the park. So no, you can’t swim there.
There isn't one, it's illegal to swim or wade in the water for your own safety. $250 fine if you do swim
You aren't allowed to buy people do. There are all sorts of critters living there, so be careful. Please don't leave trash.
No
It's great for dogs. I have two dogs one is about 80 lbs and the other about 50 lbs and never had any issues. Depending on what trail you take they might have to cross a really shallow stream or they can walk/hop across some concrete Piller "steps".
Sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.
