If you're a Wizard of Oz fan (Book, Play or Movie) this place is a must-go! It was an amazing experience! The only disappointment is that it's only open one month out of a year. Also I wish they had a few rides but all in all it's definitely a dream come true!

My wife and I enjoyed #TheLandofOz today. Great for those who grew up on The Wizard of Oz. Great place to take your kids. We took the ski lift up and down to enjoy the scenery.

One of the greatest experiences that you could have. From all the great sets to all the wonderful polite actors its a great time for the oz fan young and old. Make sure you have some great walking shoes and bring some water to drink.

Our first time visiting Oz was great! Everyone so nice and it’s well worth the money! We had a wonderful time! The scarecrow was the best and went out of his way to pick around with us! The characters played their part very well and we’re so nice! I didn’t give it 5 stars because we were confused were to go for entry and to board ski lift etc. They definitely need signs posted throughout for new visitors. Also lots of walking up hill that we didn’t expect. Other than that, it was simply fantastic! Thanks for a great day Oz staff!

Yes in June open every Friday of the month then do autumn of oz later. Can Google website for info.
We will announce our season in early spring through landofoznc.com and social media
You would have to ask the powers to be for that. I know they do private event but at cost.
When you go to check out, underneath it has the option in blue to purchase museum movie exhibit entry but if you click it on the next page it states in bold "if you are purchasing VIP tix there is no additional purchase necessary". Just keep going through the check out process.
Check their website. They have different events at different times of the year and the prices are not the same for each event.
Only opened 8th 9th and 10th in September
Just keep an eye on the website and I follow the Instagram for updates and info
Only open one weekend in September normally and close airport would be in ashville or banner elk
Land of Oz's typical season is June-October due to harsh winter weather.
Yes, what Jacki said and you can also see photos of that on Google maps.
Go on their website and order. Tickets go on sale 6-14-18 and they go fast
Open for tours in June and October, weekends only. Tours last roughly 2 hours.
There were a few stairs and a few inclines but nothing too strenuous.
I would say no because there are steps and uneven walk ways.
It didn't seem like it was even open when I was there a week ago. I would definitely call them to see if it will be open.
Yes, and for more information check the website.
Refer to their website for information. There should be an up to date contact either email or phone you can ask specific questions not posted online
Instagram and Facebook usually are good sources to check for sale dates as well as their website.
You have to have a group of people 15 or more i think. Also there should be a realty company name on the site somewhere - they own it so you could call them. Hope this helps.
They have a website with all the info you need.
It was definitely a wonderful trip and all that info you want should be in their website you can probably find a group rate on like Groupon maybe
They are open more than two weekends a year. They are open several weekends in June and I believe two weekends in September. Beech mountain is beautiful, actually breathtaking taking if you want a nice get away.
They have a Facebook page. They are good about responding there. Send them a msg on messenger
Landofoznc.com informs of public openings. Our next event is Autumn at Oz the first two weekends of September and tickets are selling out.
No, the theme park is not open to the public in October, however you can call them and probably ask them for a private tour for a fee. They do have their "Autumn at Oz" show for two weekends only this year on September 6-8, 2019 and September 13-15, 2019.
Is your question, does the Land of Oz sell toys of the characters?
As of today 6/23, there are 10 time slots left for July 5th. Better hurry!
I think the date is June 20th
No, not accessible at all. It was built before accessibility requirements. There are stairs just to start the tour.
Just July 5th only.
You have to drive and self park. Look for the signs for where to park once you reach the peak of the mountain.
Landofoznc.com informs of details. Children 2 and under receive free admission
No
Landofoznc.com will tell you if tickets are available and you can order from there if they are.
Landofoznc.com should be able to tell you if they are sold out but they sell out fast so probably are.
It's an outside walk through on top of Beech Mtn. It has a yellow brick road. You walk through Dorothy's house then continue on to key places in the movie (corn field, forest, and witch's castle) straight to the gates of Oz. Depending on what time of year you go, either Dorothy will lead the tour and you will see all the characters along the way. You will be able to interact with them as well. Or just do a tour with Dorothy through the grounds with no other characters. I believe the latter is in Autumn (Sept). When you check in at the bottom of the Mtn at Beech Mtn Resort they have a VERY small museum with items from the original Oz amusement park. It's basically a room.
June they pick people from the crowd to play roles and September it's a full crew. I loved going in June. It's just one day
Yes, but it is a path so you can't turn back. Once they call your number and you go through Dorothy's house into Oz you can only go forward.
They are only open a few weekends a year and sell out fast for those events. Check landofoznc.com for postings
They are only open a few times a year and the tickets sell out fast. Check here landofoznc.com
Landofoznc.com
The property was built in 1968 with multiple stair cases and natural uneven paths.
https://www.landofoznc.com/faq-c36v This link to FAQ describes the 2 events offered.
I think they are already out for September... You might want to call or check the website....
I wouldn't recommend a stroller, let alone a wheelchair. On my recent tour there was a person in a wheelchair, they didn't go through the house and missed about half of the rest as a worker wheeled them in from the back. So, it is possible in a very bumpy way.
no ma'am. Only Fridays in June and again on a weekend in September this year
You have to check the website they are only open once a year. Last year it was in September.
No not abandoned. We went June 1st. Had a fantastic time. Heard they are slowly rebuilding the park back up. Area is privately owned.
Last year I think we paid 40 each.
Tickets are sold out for the June tour already but they go on sale again June 14th for the September festival. The June tickets were $30/person.
First, Land of Oz is no longer a theme park. That burned down in the 1970's. The tour is of the property with live action players portraying the characters from the movie in the Fall, and Dorthy as tour guide during the dates in June.
Groups every 15 minutes, about 30 I'm guessing, last a little over a hour
Open weekends in June and October. Private tours are available. Tours are approximately 2-3 hours long. October dates have live characters interact with patrons. June tours have Dorothy only. Call or check website for more information.
Check the website. Its different depending on which event you go to.
No reservation only
Land of Oz is not allowing pets at this time. There are multiple factors on our property as well as Beech Mountain Resort's rules and regulations with pets. Apologies for the inconvenience.
The Oz Team is working on new merchandise for the 2018 Season. Apologies for the inconvenience.

It is a real estate development. Next to ski slope on Beech Mountain, NC. No tours.

The park opens up once a year for the Autumn at Oz event in the fall. They also offer private tours.
They haven't announced it yet. Go join the Land of Oz on Facebook and they post it when the make the plans.
Have you tried using a search engine to ask the obvious?? Try Google or Bing or any search engine. You have the power!!!
Yes it is very difficult if you are disabled or in a wheelchair because the ground is not flat you are in the mountains and there are spots that are rocky. My mom had a cane and can work pretty well and had a hard time even with the cane helping
Boone, NC. There are at least 10 good hotels in Boone.
There may be some in/near the local town but none on the property.
The first weekend in October they are always open for Autumn in Oz. This past year they opened a few additional weekends for another OZ event. Check the website as they generally only sell advance tickets
Google "Land of Oz". I promise you it will show you the website. Seriously, you couldn't figure that out??
The park sits above 5,500 feet and is neighboring an active ski resort. As an outdoor venue we operate June-September at this time.
Just Google the Land of Oz. You buy tickets on their website.
They have a website with all the info about when they're open and when tickets go on sale
Start of the year you can check there website for there dates open.
