Very well organized, clean and great items. The only thrift store that can be mistaken as a department store!! Please keep it that way.

I hate to do this, as a long time shopper here and someone who supports the organization. Unfortunately though, this store has continued a growing trend for thrift stores trying to position themselves as resellers and not thrift stores. This store today had a pair of used sneakers for $79, a pair of Skechers for $79 (lol), and many other shoes in the $50-$100 market. Now before someone gets mad reading this, thrift stores should NOT be trying to price like this. For one, if thrift stores are looking up value online - that gives the employees incentive to just take the good stuff home and never put it on the floor. I have known people who managed thrift stores. This happens. For two, thrift stores use non-profit designation to benefit very friendly tax laws. This means they should be able to offer product cheaper to consumers based on their benefit as a non-profit seller. For three, thrift stores position in a community is to have a symbiotic relationship with the community. They take donations for a charitable cause, and in turn help people (many of whom need it) by providing cheap goods to buy. That is no longer the case here and many other Jacksonville thrift stores, and that needs to stop. Respectfully, thrift stores should also not be paying an employee (I highly doubt one of the volunteers does this) to sit in a back room all day and price out anything they think may be valuable. Not a good look. I expect more from a Christian organization who preachers community help. I believe in the Salvation Army, but this practice needs to halt. I don’t mean any disrespect here. Most of the employees here are good people and this is a large store. It’s just hard to justify prices that are many times now going above even eBay prices. Really hope they consider changing this practice and returning to more uniform pricing.
