It depends on what they're taking the children out of the home for. They take the children for these things only. bruises found on the kids, parents that are on drugs, filthy house.when they take them , they look at family members first. Guardian at litem will Foster them, and if they place them with a family member, guardian ad litem will still come in to check on the kids until somebody gets custody of them. Bad parenting, cursing at your kids are not things DCF frowns on.
Dcf does not recognize age as a factor in staying home alone with siblings. If you feel they are responsible enough to stay home. They have wifi devices with cameras you can check on children anytime if you have to work.......now that does not mean of something was to happen DCF and ccso will investigate.
