It told me to rate my recent maintenance experience, but there was no maintenance done at all yet. I voiced my concerns about my garbage disposal being broken and the sink being backed up and no one has done anything about it yet. My place is also infested with roaches and they FINALLY sent an email with a scheduled date for an exterminator. It wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t even show up at this point. I just moved in and it has already been a nightmare. If I could give this 0 stars I would. It seems like they don’t care about me as a tenant. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been living here for almost two months, so I figured I'd leave a more detailed review than most leave: 1. Overall quality From what I understand, this is pretty good for the price. It's my first apartment, but I've had no huge issues, and the surrounding neighborhood is very nice. The kitchen includes a dishwasher (didn't expect that) but no microwave. The walls are evidently very solid, since I haven't had any noise issues - I can't hear more than my upstairs neighbors footsteps. My only major concern was that the apartment was extremely humid and musty smelling when I moved in, and I had to buy a dehumidifier to combat that. No evidence of mold that I've found. I also saw several crickets and a couple other bugs when I moved in, but I haven't seen any since my first week. 2. Accessibility and parking The complexes and buildings are fairly old, so there aren't any elevators or ramps. Parking is first come, first serve without permits (which is nice for having guests), but there are no wheelchair accessible spots or curbs. Parking spaces also aren't painted except for on the curb, so occasionally you see a car taking up space for two.. but parking is plentiful if you're fine walking an extra 30 seconds. For students, there's a TU bus stop along Cranbrook. 3. Leasing and management My leasing process was pretty easy and simple, and the office was quick to respond to emails, pick up the phone, or call back if they were on the phone with someone else. For maintenance (I had a few things not quite right when I moved in, like my garbage disposal being jammed), they typically come within the next day or so. I would recommend calling in service orders rather than using the online portal - they have to ask you COVID screening questions before the service people will come, and since that's not asked in the online portal, the office will need to call you back before the work order is put in. Outside of that, management has been a little weird - I know they're currently in the process of joining with The Lakes management, so that might be why. I sent an email asking about the community storage lockers, and instead of getting an email response, I got a letter in the mail a week later. When I checked where the lockers were and found that they were all full, I called the provided number, was on hold for 20 minutes, and ended up leaving a voicemail. Again, I got a letter in the mail as a response saying unmarked lockers would be cleared out in a few weeks... The notices went up to warn residents that they'd be cleared on the 11th, but when I checked tonight, the unmarked lockers were still full of trash. All of this has been minor, though, so I'm not worried about it and I'm very happy here. Would definitely recommend! 10 MONTH UPDATE: Overall, I'm still very happy with the quality of my apartment for the price. I will now say that the issues with management being difficult to contact are persistent and occasionally frustrating (such as getting a notice to move cars for construction by 7am AFTER 7am that day), but response from maintenance for emergency issues such as water leaks has been within an hour, 2 hours tops. Since all issues regarding the property itself can be quickly addressed, it doesn't seem to matter that I can't reach management.

Questions & Answers

why don't you EVER answer the phones. I can honestly say I've called 3 times each day this past week with no answer, any of the times. You cant be that busy, when you cant pick up and say please hold. You want people to lease? Answer the phone. thx

It's also pretty annoying that they respond to voice mails and emails by sending letters in the mail. What's the point of leaving my number?
