I was inpatient in the depression/anxiety ward for two weeks and other than being close within the facility so that getting ECT was easier, the unit does not do nearly enough counseling or people that truly need it. Mostly we got in a group and a social worker talked to us about coping mechanisms and things like that- but only a half hour. It seems like a holding facility with nurses and aides more concerned with rules and less on the people that need treatment. I would not recommend inpatient, perhaps outpatient is better.

Overall the staff were fine except Ashley and Rebecca from 1 G unit. They need not to work with children and families.

Hey🙋🏻♀
There is nothing wrong with the inpatient experience. When people are faced with their challenges sometimes they just aren't ready. Sheppard Pratt is the gold standard for mental health care in Maryland. If you dont want their help honestly I dont know what to tell you.
Our Psychiatric Urgent Care is specially designed for people who need an immediate psychiatric triage. Please give us a call at 410-938-5302 for more information.
Last time I checked yes they did offer that. Medicare is accepted.
Yes, we see adolescents at our Psychiatric Urgent Care clinics.
Hi Thomas - this is a smoke-free facility.
Yes, we do. You can find all of our programs that treat adolescents here on our website: https://www.sheppardpratt.org/care-finder/filter/?people[]=people-group-filter-adolescents
Sure! As Jessica wrote, the clinic is located in the Weinberg Building. Just follow the signs. The process is easy and not scary at all.
Did you get any help Vanessa? Im sorry but if you met the guy there they should at least give you paperwork proving this guy was at the same facility as you at the same exact time. Not just shoo you off to a police department. Hope you're doing okay!
Hi Nancy - absolutely. Visit this page to learn about the process for requesting your medical records and to download a medical records request form: https://www.sheppardpratt.org/faqs#patientrights
