I prefer the Safeway store chain over most others anyway, but this Vons is a particular favorite of mine! I like their products, and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Even customers are friendlier here than other stores! The only drawback is the long checkout lines I run into every time I'm there. It seems like there are twelve registers to check out at and only three open at a time. However, the people at register are great at busting hump and getting people through at a steady pace. They're pretty efficient for being short-staffed. I only wish this store was a little closer to where I live, so I could shop there more than once in a while!

Juicy Pecan

I went in to get some deli meat and cheese and the staff there was extremely rude. I only wanted a couple (2-4) slices of ham and cheese because I was only planning on making a couple sandwiches but the lovely gentleman working there decided that he was angry about that. He said to the other staff “I’m cutting TWO slices of this cheese” very sarcastically, in a way that was extremely rude and disrespectful. It’s almost as if he was mocking me. I get that only cutting two slices of cheese is a hassle and inconvenient for him, but I am a customer and he had no right to talk in such a diminishing tone. I am very unsatisfied with my visit to this Vons and I won’t be shopping here again. I feel sorry for other customers that have to encounter this deli worker.

Tummypoke

This store is a little discombobulated as I found it difficult to locate some of the things I was looking for. However, it is somewhat similar in layout to other sister stores that I’ve been to. I also feel that the employees were too busy to acknowledge any customers as I attempted to approach several different employees only to have them walk away from me. If they don’t have time to stop and acknowledge their customers or offer assistance, then I don’t have time to shop there.

Great store had everything I needed for a holiday weekend. Even got ice cream cakes personalized once I purchased them up front then I could bring them back to the bakery for writing.
